What is the best Broadway play you've seen? email this discussion to a friend?

I have seen Miss Siagon, Phantom of the Opera, & Les Miserables. They were all excellent plays with awesome music, but my favorite was Phantom of the Opera. The costumes, & the songs were the best. I especially liked the act where they made you think the chanderlier itself was about to fall ontop of you & then just as suddenly the lights flicker & then ...it disappears. It was truly an amazing play. Which of the Broadway plays was your favorite?

If we're talking about best ever, it would have to be Les Miz and, odd as it may seem, it's much better from the mezzanine than is it from the orchestra. OUt of what's out there currently, I'll go out on a limb and recommend Avenue Q. It's hysterical and raunchy and it's one of the most original concepts I've seen since Starlight Express (a terrible play with a great premise).

Wow it's been forever since I seen a Broadway play. I used to go all the time when I lived in NY, but now that we live in Indiana there is little chance of me ever seeing another again..(sniff, sniff).

Les Miserables all the way! I love that play and I love the music. I think the music is so beautiful! Also, the tragedies that take place among the characters are so heart wrenching, yet so compelling at the same time. Eponine is one of my favorite storylines in the play, of course. It's so sad to see her outcome however. Also, I am a true lover of history and I just love the history in Les Mis. This takes me to my next favorite, which is The Phantom Of The Opera....

Once again, the tragedy of The Phantom and his love for Christine Daae is so sad and yet at the same time, so very beautiful. Also, the music is so hauntingly beautiful as well. I love every aspect of this musical really....

There is nothing like a live Broadway musical. No movie or TV series can compare to sitting in an audience and watching as the actors and actresses play their roles right before your eyes. I am excited because my husband Richard and I are suppose to be going to see both these plays on our trip to NY in May. He has never been to a Broadway show and so I am so excited for him to have that experience. I know he will love it!

I have only seen two broadway shows. And the best was Hairspray. I really wish I could have seen Miss Siagon. I don't think they do on broadway anymore. I really love the music. I actually have the soundtrack. And the story I like too.

My all time favorite has always been Annie. The movie came out when I was six years old and I was hooked. Annie was the first Broadway show I ever went to, so it will always have a special place in my heart.

Well I have never been to Broadway but I have seen several plays that originated there. One of my favorites was Grease and Phantom of the Opera along with Jesus Christ Superstar. I never cared for Cats, I actually fell asleep during it. I also got to see "The Scarlet Pimpernel" and that was a fantastic play, one I would enjoy seeing again. I love going to plays and have seen numerous ones over the years, both professionally and non-professionally and out of all of them only one disappointed me, the aforementioned Cats (which was done by the Broadway cast on tour by the way).
