Do you love to burn scented candles? |
|
I do and find some very nice ones as well. The Yankee candles smell great. But,they can be very costly at time. I went to the mall in White Plains. They had a sale and I still found them way to high. I am looking at a candle site now. I happen to like these ones here. I hate baked apples very much. But,I am finding these to be very nice. http://www.dvsdeals.scent... Where do you buy your candles from?

1. kbourgerie (1608) | 7 months ago | I love Yankee candles, in fact I was burning one yesterday. But yes they are quite expensive. I used to work for J.C. Penneys, however, and I would pick them up on clearance.

whittby (1897) | 7 months ago | Whoops I messed up the fragrance names - for Yankee candles anyway they are clean cotton and sunwashed linen. I buy those on sale usually (not often) and a few times at Ebay. But I've gotten candles at Walmart that had so little scent, I don't know if it's worth getting them cheap? I also used to get candles on ebay from a few ladies who made their own. Besides regular candles, I bought the kind they call "tarts" - decorative and smell wonderful. And I bet you're wishing you got more of those beads you got!

KKKBsmom (919) | 7 months ago | Hey i know the feeling of the burning candle... so I bought some of those coffee warmers on sale... i think I got them for like .50 cents at walmart they are great.. I just keep the candle on them... after a while the wax is still there but the sent is gone... you can either buy oils and put in the wax ... or I go to the dollar store and buy a bottle of popori stuff... a bottle usually lasts about a week... so basically a dollar a week and it smells like I am burning candles... just a thought for you with small ones!!! when I did burn candles... it would sit on the stove... back away from the edge!! good luck!:-)

giftsandbagscom (10613) | 7 months ago | I see my daughter has the candle on top of the stove. I was afraid of the cat getting into it. I would rather burn incense because of the cat.

4. crazynurse (5648) | 7 months ago | I too love Yankee Candles but can't afford them! Believe it or not, some of the best candles I have came from WalMart! During October, I was in WalMart and they had jar candles for 5.99. I picked up a pumpkin spice and antoehr one, I forget the name of it, and they have been wonderful! Within about 20 minutes after lighting them, I can smell the scent all over the house! They have not lost their scent and they don't smoke. I have been pleasantly surprised! I also get candles at a local shop where a lady makes her own. They are awesome and about half the price of yankee candles.

whittby (1897) | 7 months ago | I just posted above I got some candles at WalMart and turned out to have no scent. But I see you got the jar candles - I didn't. I'm going to look at those next time I go. I also love to get candles from someone who makes their own. Some of these folks use the nicest scents.

5. wondericequeen (3517) | 7 months ago | Yes I love it because I love making the whole room smell wonderful. I like floral scent instead of those "yummy" scent*laughs*. Around where I live, we have those essential oil store selling those candles and I would get mine from there because usually it has some functions for the health too!

6. CAMILLERI (587) | 7 months ago | I do not burn candles. For different exotic smells, try and buy a cheap contraption and burn some different oils. They are much cheaper than candles and they do not make any mess.

7. Phaedra_Scythe (1335) | 7 months ago | I adore Yankee Candles, especially the housewarmer jars, but you're right, they are expensive. I tend to invest in one every few months as the large jars last a long time. My favourite is "Winterland", a crisp, clean, wintery, minty smell, but sadly it's been discontinued. I hate it when they do that. If a smell is really lovely then why make it "Limited Edition". Surely they'd make more money by having it permanently on their catalogue? It's so frustrating!

9. carmelanirel (4632) | 7 months ago | I was given a blueberry pis candle like you have in the link, it was ok.. I love more of flowers or I had one that had this certain ocean smell, but the company doesn't make it anymore..(And trust me, I have gone to every single water/ocean candle since then, this certain smell is not used in any other candle). I do love burning them, my favorites I have now is cinnamon and lilac..:)

10. PamE53 (1539) | 7 months ago | Oh I just love burning scented candles. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy. I found the most wonderful one at Kohl's. French toast. Oh my goodness, when we burn it, we become so hungry. We tend not to light that one to often. But I love the Yankee Peddler types and there are also "Home Interior" candles that are absolutely awesome. Of course you have to find a dealer for those. Sometimes if I am lucky I can find spruce scented and I love burning them even when it's not the holidays!
