Artists and Art  

Well, see, ctry, that poem, to me is a form of art! I am considering art as absolutely almost anything. It is a form of expression, as in 'the arts'...on the contrary, writing is one of the most important arts, for without it, without all the poems and literature and novels and anything we read, where would we be?
I love to write and read and soak up all the beautiful feelings a poem can evoke. Thank you for sharing your art here ctry and I bet you have more art in you than you know! I know it is hard to see it at times, but it is there! And it is beautiful!

You know everytime you call me Doll raydene, I feel so loved and special..there's an art that you have you see? The art of making people feel loved!
But no, my friend, this is exactly the spirit of what I am getting at. Without this imagination that we have, imagine if you will, once again, how dreary life would be.
Another fine form of art you are relaying here..the art of putting textures in home decorating. You see, a bit of creativity can add such dimension to our lives, more than we realise and often do not notice. Lovingly, those little added touches have given you something to study at times and perhaps take you away from the humdrum of life as it can be!

Doll if I make you feel loved it's only because I love you..We do not have to see or touch to feel love..Love travels very well...It travels through the internet,phone lines...It can be passed to another through a smile to a stranger or being intimate with a s/o....

wolfie! I have never encountered a cartographer! This is the proper name is it of someone who draws maps? Incredulous! See, I knew this would be so very educational for us to share our versions of art.
Oh yes, this must take a special person to be able to do so, as you say, a natural liking for and ability, skill, if you will, to produce maps.
Why, I am terrible with maps, but when they are done properly, they are so much easier to read!
Yes, I know the train maps you are speaking of and I can imagine them being very artsy if you do them wolfie.
What a wonder, I am astounded now and am so happy to have seen your art here and to be educated in this manner.

Speaking of art sutendts I did a discussion about a coffe shop near me that had a bunch of Art college students do ice sculptures. Nothing is any finer than the written word, the beautiful expression of words unique and crafted by only the individual. We are so blessed to be able to do so. Out of your crafts you have listed, I absolutely love the beading especially. I tried my hand at it once, as I was so loving of the shiny crystally sort of beads, I wanted to make a dress of beads, you know like the shimmy dancers LOL, but sadly I did not possess the patience.

It is wonderful to have all that art around you! Nice that you write, isn't it wonderful. I never knew how much it can enrich one's life and your own life. And the culinary arts is another line of work that is definitely to be admired. And what more rewarding a gift than to be able to help the mentally and physically challenged through the use of art.
Sewing is skill and patience and a fine craft, not something we all can do.
Again, we all have our way with art and thank you for sharing here winterose your view of this blessed gift that we have as humankind.

Hello Darkwing Dear Artiste'
Well, you know, I was wondering if you might pop in here and grace us with your lovely cake decorating which we know that you love to do and that we are so in awe of.
I know also that you love the ancient art of handcrafts which still survives today.
Nothing is more pleasurable then to be creative in this way, to view an object that you yourself engraved and decorated with your own mark.
I have a particular fondness of these types of crafts as it is indeed a part of my heritage.
I only can dream that one day I will be able to get back to my roots and enjoy the art that is inside me.
I feel blessed to have it still.
And blessed to have fine friends who appreciate my topic here.

Ohara Dear Friend..this is very touching, for to show the light to others is so very valid. Is it not the highest form of art, to care, to love, to give your very loving light to others? When you support your family and others in this way, you are opening so much comfort and encouragement so that they can find the art within themselves in turn. The greatest gift of self...a love of the 'art' inside.

I want to say how important this is and how I admire your gift of the art of listening and giving wise guidance to others. In years gone by, did people not consult with a wise sage?
Why you are a pillar of what I coin as high art..a very spiritual kind of art, that only certain among us have. To give peace and happiness to others, through letting them share with you inner turmoil, to soothe the raging sea inside a soul, what greater gift of art can one give?

I too admire the beautiful paintings in galleries, although I do not get to visit at this time. You know where I would love to see? The Louvre in Paris. Now that would be a treat so divine!
Yes, now computer programs can give one a good hand in doing artwork..wondrous what they can do I might add too. It looks so real!
