No One Writes To The Colonel!

The other day I was going through my most favourite comic strip Denis the Menace. Denis was posting a letter to the North Pole. Instantly I thought that this brat will never grow up and join the bandwagon of the big boys.
Does anyone write letters these days? At least, it seems so in this age of internet. The days of the postmen are already over. Snail-mails have been beaten to the race and e-mails have got a field day. Everybody has called it quits to writing letters.
But e-mails are so business-like and cut-and-dried in their style and approach that there seems to be no love lost between the concerned persons. They are very indifferent to human touch and feelings, they are not part of the human soul.
Letter-writing is an art. The artistic touch is conspicuously absent in e-mails. That art was the true conveyor of love and affections which weave through the emotional feelings and heart-to-heart communications.
Will our emotions, sentiments, feelings bite the dust at the touch of a mouse-click?
