Your Favorite Duets & Harmony  | | | |  Yesterday I was listening to the album "Trio" which features Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt, and Emmylou Harris singing together. To me, this is some of my favorite music -- beautiful voices lifted in harmony.
When I was a kid, my favorite duets were sung by the Everly Brothers. They sang some gorgeous tear-jerking love songs like "Love Hurts."
I think Linda Ronstadt and Emmylou Harris are two of the best singers when it comes to singing harmony, and with almost anyone. Especially Linda Ronstadt singing on some of the JD Souther songs like "Faithless Love."

| |  Even though they don't have a great reputation I do enjoy the harmonizing of the Dixie Chicks.
I also really enjoy listening to some classics like George Jones and Tammy Wynette, and Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn.
Merle Haggard and Bonnie Owens were two of the greatest although many people aren't familiar with her, as she was pretty much just considered one of the Strangers.

| |  I know I shouldn't but one of my favourite songs is with Michael and Janet Jackson, Scream! It's a great duet they do together, and sometimes I put that song on if all I want to do is scream so it gets out the crap in my system, to hear that song for me is strangely soothing and very emotive, powerful and describes the way I feel. There are others, but that one comes straight to mind, probably because I play it so often!
