What was your favorite concert? |
| |
| I was going to concerts in my late teens and early 20's, so I got to see Fleetwood Mac on the Rumours tour, Supertramp for Breakfast in America, and Dan Folgelberg for The Innocent Age. These were my favorite concerts. I considered them life changing experiences - what were yours? | | | | | |

| | Ray Boltz was in concert at our church a few years ago and wow that was a terrific concert. I would have to say that has been my all time favorite concert - what a performer, testimony, and mission. | | | | | | |

| | Can't say as I've ever heard of him, though I may have heard his music. I'll have to check him out and see if he's scheduled to swing through here. Thanks, Faith. | | | |

| | He's not touring right now but I have 3 of his CDs - one I got at the concert before it was released in the stores. Songs From The Potter's Field is my favorite and the one I got at the concert. You can check out his web site here http://www.rayboltz.com | | | |

| | Peter Gabriel Growing Up and basically everything he does. World music gets him an extra vote from me. I saw the blind boys of alabama at one of his concerts before they made it big as such. Plus a girl from uzbekistan who was so shrill it shook your seat. Simon and Garfunkel in Hyde Park was electrifying with an audience of over 100,000 people. I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. | | | | | | |

| | Yes, the concerts that I went to were also life changing events for me!! I got to see Wild Cherry, back in the 70's, I got to see Van Morrison back in the 70's;; I got to see Roger and his talking keyboard in the 90's, I met Merle Haggard backstage at one of his concerts in the 80's, I went to a Don Williams Concert in the late 70's, In the 60's I seen Grand Funk Rairoad, and in the 70's I seen Question Mark & the Mysterians! In the 60's, when I was still in high school, Cher and Sonny came to our town and performed, right before she got famous! All of these events were important to me, and I can still remember them! | | | | | | |

| | Wild Cherry? Didn't they do "Play that Funky Music White Boy"? Roger who? I also met Merle Haggard and Marty Robbins when I was ushering at the Lloyd Noble Colliseum at the OU campus. I was in Air Force ROTC and that was one of our assignments. Merle wasn't too talkative, but Marty was one of nicest guys I'd ever met. I saw Don Williams in Branson - I had free tickets since I was playing at another theater. Grand Funk Railroad must have been awesome. What did Question Mark & the Mysterians do? Great response, musicman! Always good to hear from you. | | | |

| | Can't say as I've ever been a metal fan, but it's probably my age. Also, I play keyboards, and they don't use much keyboard in metal music. Anyway, thank-you for your response! | | | |
