Getting us on the map!

Good morning mrslisae, where I live is very small too! I live in Benton Ky. There are I think 3 mylotters from this area of my state here. We have 1 Walmart 2 Dollar stores and so on. It is a small farming community, but down the road it is one of the largest man made lakes in the U.S. L.B.L. is one major tourist attractions in Ky. It is Beautiful. This community is very quaint and family friendly. About 60mls. down Terry Anderson (the Iranian hostage)lives. This area is well known for many things but not all good. But times do change. I was born in the next town over in Paducah. My parents moved to Brawley Calif. until I was 8. I loved it there. I have traveled all over the U.S. I have one son in Goseen In. one in Rochester Mn. and one here in Benton for now but will be leaveing in about a year. Unfortunatualey there are no job opportunities here.

You are right, Alabama has some wonderful places. My husband and I love to go camping. We have been to Coleman Lake and Mt. Cheaha. Only about an hour away from where we live. We love to go to the different caverns also, like De Soto. There is a bike/walking trail just minutes up the road too. The Natural History museum isn't much further. Huntsville has the space museum. We took a girl scout troop several years back and had an amazing time.
People I have met that come to visit are usually enthralled by the southern charm and love the accents, lol.
I was born and raised in Texas. I have been here about 15 years now. Just like anywhere else it has great people and not so nice people. I love it here.
