A trip down memory lane   

Its nice remembering the 'olden days' lilaclady.
Do you remember anything in particular about about your childhood ?

yes, I live in the older part of Melbourne and behind all the houses there are lane ways and they all sort of link up in a way, so these lanes were my private little roads, I had a three wheel bile and in those days it seemed to be a lot safer than these days so I used to be be riding up and down the lanes, I wish every child could have a great childhood...

Oh yes i remember the good old days of bikes & trikes,lots of children could be seen outside regularly.
Nowadays its all about computers & game consoles.We rarely see a child on a bike now.

Yes i agree its ok to live in the moment & the memories as we pass them at the time,but sometimes our thoughts travel deeper than that,& we become so tangled up in what could have been etc.Mostly tho it is good,without the past,our ' here & now ' would be very bleak.

Montrose is in Scotland yes ? Not a place i am familiar with.
Ive been in the same situation,standing staring at what appears to be nothing to others,but like you say to us it means so much.Others must think us slightly deluded.
Grandparents will always be a wonderful memory to everyone,to me grandparents gave me something that my own parents never did.
Rin i hope one day soon you return to Montrose.
Sounds to be that would be a wonderful experience for you.

Oh,I go at least 3 or 4 times a year.I even have a bag of chips from the same chip shop,and it was a guy in my class at school who owns it now.We are all older,but none of us have changed that much.Montrose is like that,

Chips in Scotland are the best tasting,i know of a place in Scotland that was in the finals for best chip shop award.
Funnily enough it was run by Italians.It was on the BBC.

Ah yes that is nice Cher.That is something i have not done for a long time go back to where i lived as a child,i guess because it was mostly not good.My life started for ' real' the minute i had my son.Kinda funny in a way,the last time i did it,it was to show my children.

Life is beautiful Thehairdresser.Memories good & even bad are a big part of who we are now. Seems such a shame to let them bypass us everyday,which sadly we do sometimes.

Yes i suppose it is a known fact ,i think that right before we fall asleep those type of thoughts enter our minds,it is because we are not like 'being busy ' with our children or whatever.
One should never regret what they have done,only regret that which you have never done & do it!!

I try not to look to the past, but i do have to regret some of the things that i did when i was younger that i SO wouldnt do now. You know, the things that you dont think about before you go out and do them. lol. SIlly teenagers.

Oh yes things like stealing car radios & selling them to the man that worked in the local garage lol

One time i saw Roger Rabbit in the park,after i had taken some magic mushrooms,that very same day,a guy lifted me up & dropped me.I dislocated my shoulder lol

lol i never ventured into the mushrooms. I didn't like anything that was going to make me see things that were not really there.. That just .. i dunno there is somethng about it that scares me. I dont wanna not know if something is real or not you know ?

The mushrooms only made it clearer,i was always seeing things anyway.Not to worry,i feel much better now.

Yes i think its nice to recognize & remember such times.
The memories are always there in our minds,just sometime we let them pass,without mellowing in them.
Its is nice you still have the same friends,your memories are to go on forever.

There is a reason why someone has suddenly been brought to your mind.I am not religious but i believe they were brought to your mind for a reason.Only the future will be the answer to that one,perhaps an unexpected call ?

Yeh i know what you mean Wolfie,it is strange but good at the same time.Sometimes too in situations like you speak of,i wish i could be there again for real. Life seems so bad then & now,or so good then & now. I wonder what it would be like to go back for real.

No idea what happened Wolfie,i could not log in,kept saying error.I think it was meant to be tho,gave me the opportunity to get a few things out my system,something i had a struggle with previously,now i can say who i am,strange i know but that is just me.
