white boots vs beige boots  |

|  Usually in figure skating, the ladies have either white or beige boots for skating...I realized I really dont like the beige ones for some reason and find the white ones to be somehow more graceful in a way...i know when my mother once told me the same i felt kind of relieved that i was not the only one thinking about something as silly as this LOL
So now im curious...is that just us or someone else too around here having a preference? And if so which ones do you prefer?

| | Hi hon! Thank you so much for answering! That's cool...I only skated once and it was with very bad skates i rented on the place...of coruse they didnt fit my foot so i had to change them like 3 times :p
I realy enjoy watching it tho...i used to be better at roller skating when i was little...i meant to start ice skating but then my life had a few twists and turns so i had to give up for now :p maybe in the future!

| |  I thought it was a rule that the pair skaters Had to wear white boots so the judges could see their footwork.I don't care. Either color is fine with me.

| | You know, im not sure about pairs, i never noticed, but for sure i saw in the dance some ladies with beige skates (barbara fusar poli from italy and margarita dobriazko from lithuania...i remember because i cant stand barbara while i simply love margarita and her husband as a pair on ice and off)

| |  I used to skate when I was younger and had my own boots rather than the rinks and they were white. I don't think I would have ever considered beige. I have a lovely scare under my chin where I fell and caught another skaters blade, ouch, ice made it look more horrendous than it was though as the blodd spread only needed a few stitiches. They are building a rink in our town soon so might take it up again. Ellie :D

Thats great they are opening a rink there...i think these years figure skating is gettin more popularity in some areas...here after the olympics and in the uk i think the brothers Kerrs are doing a lot for the sport...i love them, they are very innovative and talented...i loved their scottish ice dance a few years ago :) | | | |

| |  I like beige boots in ice dance and synchronized skating as the leg line match is a very important aspect of both and having a neutral color boot doesn't create a visual break in said line.
In singles skating, I'm fine either way.
