Single parenting; good or bad?  

Well that too dependes. On how bad a dad he is. If he is not there emotionally for the kids, if he does not engange himself in their upbringing I thing no dad is better than bad dad. positive male rolemodels can be found many places.

I was a single parent for nearly 8 years with my first born, and no a bad dad is not better than no dad, I look back over the events of the time with him and think did I do the right thing, and I get the same answer everytime, yes I did. Obviously everybodys situations are different, but for me I would rather be a single parent every time than think of myself being stuck with my sons father just for the sake of my son.

I think no dad is better then a bad dad. I wouldnt want the father of my child to just ruin my daughter emotionally or hurt her in anyway. I would rather him not even be there. I feel when I was younger if my father wasnt in my life it would have been much better. But then again it all depends on a specific case too. Everyone is different.

No dad is certainly better than a bad dad, its no good staying with a person for the sake of the children it wont work,it also puts more strain on you,and the children begin to sense something is not right.Trust your instincts as each situation is different the word bad can have many definitions. of course it's hard to be a single parent taking care of the kids.in my opinion, it depends on the situation. if your a mom in a very young age, it will be very hard because not only your child is growing and maturing but also you as the mother is still on the process of maturing as an adult-like. and i think staying with the father of your kid just for the sake of having a father is not advisable, esp if the father is also a young adult. it will more miserable for both of you.it is better to stay with your parents rather than with him,because both of you need more guidance and need to mature to handle the situation of being as husband and wife and more so of being the parent of the child.one consequence is that there are lot of fights/arguments between your partner that may lead to physical,emotional and verbal abuse and it is not good for the child to witness those things.and i say, a no dad is better than a bad dad!but dont let your child be deprived of seeing his dad no matter what the cost.

yes it depends on situation i think bad dad is not good its better to have no dad and single parents is not bad if responsibility are taken properly
