 Yes that is what my diabetes educator told us in class that to stay healthy we should take 10,000 steps daily....WHEW! Thats a lot of stpes don't you thin, especially if you don't work, so I guess that means one should get off their behind and move around, wouldn't you say?

I have a pedometer and they are pretty sool they work with your walking stride....the bigger steps you take the less it adds up I will tell you that. I have got to get out and do some more walking too, it just has been too cold.BRRRR!!!! | |

I found that I got 8,000-9,000 on a normal work day, and it only took a quick stroll on my lunchbreak or a few more trips to the photocopier to get 10,000. The winning team, however, were averaging closer to 30,000 steps per day!

I know I do not do anywhere near that amount.
I need to walk everyday, but have not found anyone to walk with me.
I will not go alone as I suffer from a stupid heart condition, and am always afraid to go by myself.

I know,if you walk in a hospital,you walk alot every day at work.
Perhaps you shall buy a dog,and take it out for long walks.
For me,it´s easier to take long walks when the weather is good.
