TV guide : yes or no?  

Never ever buy it, nor do I ever refer to the free TV listings that appear as a supplement to my local newspaper.

Comcast, my cable provider, provides an on-screen listing for all times and channels, along with a synopsis of the contents or description of the movie.

That's all I need to determine whether I want to watch a show or not.

I buy my local newspaper on Sunday's. I get it for the T.V. Guide and for the coupons. I do not get cable or sattelite so the guide that comes in the paper is just fine.

I don't buy a TV guide never have actually at least not for TV purposes. I have bought the collectors additions every once in a while if its of intrest to me. I use the guide that is on my TV. Before I had it I used the TV guide channel. I just don't see spendning the money on some thing that is avaiable free.

I believe we had had the same experience with tv magazine, I made my parents buy the one in the photo that you upload and the only pages that I really rtead were the ones with the songs' lyrics...I collected them within the artists' photos.
At that time internet was not so popular and was difficult to find out lyrics as nowadays you can do from the web.
We ended buying tvmagazines when we bought a tv with the teletext

I subscribe to it and have just renewed it for another year. I mostly subscribe to read the articles because I don't have cable, so the listings aren't all that helpful. Plus, now that I have a digital TV converter, I get listings over the air from the converter box. So, I might not be renewing it again.

I used to buy it all the time, back when it was smaller. I liked the format of it. But, I don't like the new TV Guide. So, I just look at the program grid either online or on my Direct TV.

No, I never buy that magazine as our cable company offers an online tv guide and that is all I need. I remember when TV Guide was a very popular item, but we always received a free schedule in our paper and so we never bought it.

I have never bought such a thing, JoMarch, nor can I recall ever using one of the free listings in the newspaper.

I will admit that there have been a couple of times when I have consulted the internet in regard to the airing of a television show, but most of the time I use the on screen directory provided by my satellite provider.
