if people don't like you for no reason do you give them a real reason not to?

If someone doesn't like me for no reason well, thats there loss. I wouldn't give them a second thought. I'm neither going to go out of my way to make them like me nor take the time to give them a real reason to not like me.

I'm not a mean person either, but sometimes, some people just get under my skin for such stupid reasons that I can't help being very very blunt in my reaction. If humor fails then it's on to sarcasm or carefully worded intelligent putdowns. I don't like to indulge that side of myself, but some people seem to just demand it, you know? I have my go around with them and then I stay away. I'd rather laugh and spread some love than fight. I would have made a good hippie I think. lol

My replying this way might make you feel I am such a noob and an unintersting person...well, but I am not.

When something like this happens, I happen to just ignore them. And the next time, if there's any attempt from their side to approach me, yes, I would reply them with enough politeness. I just tend to be just a simple guy and I don't like to get rude.

I get rude only when someone is abused (oh yeah, in that case, I hardly get rude if I am abused...)

I don't become mean to anybody so easily, but when the case is too serious and calling some rudeness, I won't stand back...thus it has been said, "When a calm person or a good guy attacks, he leaves back nothing!"

To like or not to like somebody is our own personal preference. I have my own fair share of people that I just dont like for no reason and a group of people just hate the sight of me. I am sorry to say but I think that is the way life is. I guess I dont have to give a reason on why i hate certain people and they dont have to give me a reason for their detestment either.

Every1 has there own likes and dislikes, and that goes with whome we like and dislike as well. Sometimes though I have to wonder if a person doesnt act like they like you, does it really mean they hate you, or is it just that day? What I mean is maybe they are having a bad day and would just prefer to be left alone and not know how to say it. I get that way, when I am in my down mooods I dont want to deal with any1, yet with my lifestyle I dont always get that choice, and I have to try to meet strangers with a smile on and listen to them even when I just want to scream "Leave me alone and give me my space"..lol But at the same time if you know for sure they dont like you, then why play there games and stoop to there level. Its a waste of your time. Afterall I am betting it doesnt make you feel anybetter about yourself or about the situation. Infact I bet in the long run it makes you feel worse cause you feel guilty for doing it. As for the person that hates you for reason, I am doubting it would ever affect them, might reinforce there thoughts on you, but it will never cure the problem. If you are really worried about it. Confront them ask them why, or go out of your way to make them think twice about it. but being rude isnt the way to go. I am no saint and I will fight back when needed too, but I dont worry about who likes and who doesnt like me, I am me and proud of it most days....lol people can take me as I am or leave me be its there call.

I'm not sure, but if ever then I would not pay attention to them at all. If that's how they feel and of what thought about me, then I give them the freedom to NOT like me as long as they don't talk against me behind my back. There could something I have done unconsciously for them to be pi$$ed off, I don't have anything to prove for them so I don't mind their negativity at all..

Personally, I'm not the type of person that would snob someone whenever they give me a smile..

I don't see anything wrong with your idea. If you are rude to someone who dislikes you, it will keep them away and I'd consider that a good thing. Nobody wants to be around someone who they think dislikes them. Protecting yourself is human nature.

I feel terribly uncomfortable if I think or really believe someone doesn't like me. I avoid that person at all cost. My only defense mechanism is avoidance. It works for me and also makes me believe I haven't hurt someone else's feelings. I don't make this avoidance obvious.

I had a situation at work where one of the employees didn't care for me, like me or whatever I want to call it. I never gave her any reason to feel this way. Other employees told me she was jealous. Jealous that I get along well with others and don't suffer from pms...lol I'll speak to her but that's about as far as it goes. We work in a friendly atmosphere and if she wants to come across as a crab, that's her privilege. Customers have complained about her to the boss because she is a crank. She can go through life being bitter and crabby but this is not my way of enjoying life.

I guess your approach is not correct. You shouldn't be rude to them but instead you should use your reverse pyschology approach to win them back and make them realize their mistake.
If you provoke them back by being rude, they will think they have won over you because you response to thier action. However if you try to be nice to them, they will think that their action doesn't work on you and they will be nice back to you. Just give it a try. Thank you.

There have been a few times where I knew that someone did not like me for no reason and yes I did go out of my way to actually give them a reason. That was years ago and that for the most part is not the way I react anymore. Nowadays, I will not go out of my way or even try to give them a real reason but when they need help and I am the one they need to turn to I will not lift a finger to help. Yes, I know childish but it is the way it is.

Nope. I just keep on being me. If they don't like me then they are the ones with a problem not me. I don't mind if they tell me that I might be a meany or whatever, but as long as that is said in a nice way and not vindictive if you know what I mean.
