1. Modestah (7932) | 2 years ago | we are going to try the wax decorating art of pysanka this year! I am so excited to give it a whirl, hope they come out nicely. too bad my chickens are not into lay yet - what is keeping them I do not know.
you can dye with using tea and even onion skins - for an interesting effect one year we used different colored tissue papers which ended up looking like stained glass - we put ribbon bows on the top and varnished the eggs to a high gloss, they were so lovely as ornaments.

You blow up a balloon, then take crochet thread dipped in glue...or other adhesive and wrap it around the balloon and let it dry overnight...in the morning we will burst the balloon and have a giant easter egg that we are going to put grass in the bottom and then fill it with a little bunny and easter candy..most likey chocolate!

They usually paint them but you can also stain them in cold tea or coffee and add woll or sting for hair and draw/paint on faces - my kids love getting to do that! xxx

4. carolbee (6681) | 2 years ago | It's been so many years since we decorated Easter eggs. We bought kits or used dye and placed each color in a separate bowl and dunked the eggs. We didn't have fancy decorations like they do now. If it's warm out I would shy away from putting chocolate in the plastic eggs. Jelly beans make a good candy to put in the eggs.
Have fun and enjoy the day, carolbee

I have geared away from putting candy in the eggs for probably about the lat five years, and started putting change in the platic eggs. The kids really like it to see how much they get.
