Sure. I hope they are good about sharing too if the finding is way uneven. As my kids aged, one thing I wanted to do on some holiday but never did was...paper clip or tie a couple of dollar bills to a tree in the yard and wait until they noticed. Then I was going to say, "Yes, money does grow on trees." I wanted to do this when they were teens and needed money every time you turned around, but I never did do it.
Have a great Easter egg hunt and enjoy your kids while they are young. Good for you taking time to dye the eggs with them. Treasure those moments.

I guess it really depends on the age of the kids. I know we have hundreds of eggs when we have done it for the kids in my family but then there are at least about 10 kids. I will miss not doing it this year, since my mom decided to up and go to Florida and left yesterday. Hope the kids have fun, I am sure they will though. By the way, it's a family pitch in on the eggs. We all bring plastic filled eggs. I have even done it even though my daughters are grown, for one even when my daughter was 16 she was still doing it. We have had so many eggs, that you could see them all thrown out on the lawn, very easy to see, but then there were some that were hidden too!

Firstly, Happy Easter to you and your family. We've already had a 2-hour Easter Sunday service in church earlier to celebrate Christ's resurrection.

An Easter egg hunt will be an egg-citing event for children. Thirty-nine eggs for 3 children is a modest number, although you can do with more. More means you more fun for the kids, but you also have to work harder preparing. So where are you hiding them? In the house and garden? Don't make it too challenging, otherwise you'll spoil the fun and have to end up finding them yourself and eating the chocs. You can make it more exciting for them by creating clues on slips of paper or cardboard. If one is near a tree, you could draw a simple outline of a tree on the paper, or something like that. Or the clue could be part of a popular nursery rhyme like "Old Mother Hubbard went to the ______" if an egg is hidden in a cupboard, and the kids have to first guess the clue. You can also have a string of clues, one leading to another before the final clue leads to the egg. Children can also be given some tokens each, where they can use to exchange for extra clues to the eggs if they need. This can be for the eggs which are more well hidden and difficult to find. You can give award prizes for the one who finds the most eggs, or the biggest egg, or the egg with a certain design, so in addition to getting the reward in whatever contained in the eggs, the kids can get these extra rewards as special prizes. However you play this treasure hunt, kids will love it and it will be a great Easter Sunday for them.

We decorated our eggs as well on Saturday.. We usually do about 5 dozen eggs, but figured the price of eggs have gone up tremendously and we seem to always waste them... So this year for 2 children to hunt Easter Eggs today we only decorated 3 dozen.. That will be plenty... I think that your eggs will be plenty enough for the amount of children you have hunting eggs.. besides, if your like me you prob go and rehide them again.... Happy Easter to You!!

I thin that 39 eggs is plenty for the kids to find, and hope they find them all, we don't do easter egg hunts, the kids are lucy I boiled some eggs, and left it at that, they wanted to color them however I didn't even think of it till too later, so no colored or dyed eggs this year, no biggie, maybe next year.....

How wonderful.. I love to stage an Easter Egg Hunt for all the grandkids. Some are older than others but they share equally when they get back indoors, so that's fine. Besides, the adults tend to help the smaller ones. lol.

I would say thirty nine eggs is plenty for a hunt with three children. After all, that's thirteen eggs each, and I would think that's quite enough to make it a very enjoyable hunt for them. I hope all goes well and that the kids, as well as you, really enjoy their day!
