1. kcook57 (853) | 2 years ago | WOW! Mike sounds like you need a long nap or something. LOL! Kids do not change for the grandparents.....sorry, they stay young in our older days, and as we grow older our tolerance wears thinner & thinner. Hopefully you will have a better day tomorrow. It is bad when they are sick cause they sure can get cranky, too bad Mama is feeling under the weather too, Mama's seem to have more tolerance with the little ones.....LOL! Happy Easter:)

2. Grandmaof2 (4349) | 2 years ago | I doubt you can make a difference in the mothers life, but sounds like you need to pull out your soup pot and brew up a big pot of chicken soup for your loved ones. I remember just answering a post of yours RE: chicken soup. Works magic on me. Good luck and stay well. Get better to your wife and Jason.

BCMike (3316) | 2 years ago | Between the time I posted this and now, she texted my wife and was saying she doesn't have a mother anymore. She is trying to say that she wants custody of the boy. That's so that welfare will give her more money for him, and baby bonus (In Canada, we get a monitary allowance from the federal government for each child based on your personal income.) and any child support coming from the father. With jason, she would likey be getting some $1500 each month or more. When you are a crack head, that is a lot of money. As is, we think she is turning tricks in the city to support her habit.

Grandmaof2 (4349) | 2 years ago | Good grief all one can do is pray she doesn't ever get Jason back. Poor little boy doesn't deserve that. I'm sorry but I have a soft spot for children. They don't ask to be born. All The Best.

BCMike (3316) | 2 years ago | There is still enough fight left in me to go after anyone who dares try to do something harmful to him. I'm tired and cranky, but I would never push him off on someone else.

BCMike (3316) | 2 years ago | Mine's not much of a flag. What you are seeing is a paper towel tube and a kleenex. Pretty easy to make and you can wipe the tears away with kleenex after you wave it about a while.

4. olivemai (2791) | 2 years ago | It is difficult to deal with such young children! They are challenging their parents, as they must do in order to grow! Try to get some time off if you can! Remember it is how you respond that affects the outcome! Happy Easter!

5. Modestah (7932) | 2 years ago | I have never understood why the cliche is "terrible twos" I always loved the twos, but gracious - those threes are so trying! they really are pushing the limits testing their boundries.

shewolf52002 (622) | 2 years ago | No more toddlers in my life right now.. Though my sons girlfriend is pregnant! 3 is bad alright but nothing compared to 13! (runs screaming in horror, LOL) I have forgotten the toddler years as I battle through the TEEN years! I have four teenagers in my house as we speak. (Flag please? or maybe two?) Hang in there it wont be long and he will be grown!

6. KrisNY (7347) | 2 years ago | That stinks Mike---- I hate it when kids get colds... My daughter is fighting one too--- and believe me at the age of 11-- it's just as bad- whiny- moopy- cranky--- and to top it off she is so moody-- I think it might be almost time for her to start you know. Eekk..
I hope your wife gets better soon--- and what a shame you had to work at the lingerie shop-- You always said you could tell a womans size-- too bad you didn't get customers! I hope you have a better week! Sending you happy thoughts-

7. luv2cook4u (308) | 2 years ago | I agree with you and modestah, I never understood the term "terrible twos" because 3 was always the worst age for me (for the record 4 is only slightly better and 5 slightly more). By 6 they have learned (my kids anyway) that whining and temper tantrums do not work, their independence has grown significantly (no more wiping dirty bums!!!), and they are much easier to reason with. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy those moments when they are younger and the world is a new place to them, but they do just push and push those buttons until we are ready to explode. I cannot imagine adding an unstable parent to the equation nor could I imagine doing it alone. I give a LOT of credit to those who are those situations, because I think it would be enough to send me over the edge.

10. Polly1 (8463) | 2 years ago | Ahhhhhh, shucks. I know where you are coming from. My 3 yr. old grandson lives with me, his mom and dad are here to. He can be such a joy and a pain in the rear at the same time. He can be so ornery and then heart melting sweetness the next second. I have days like what you are describing too, tomorrow will be better, yeah right, LOL. My grandson says "you be fine". Enjoy them while they are little, they soon grow up and become teenagers.

BCMike (3316) | 2 years ago | Well Polly, I don't have the parents here. I and my wife are the primary care givers to Jason. If you were to stand his mom and dad in front of you and start klunking their heads together like the old Certs commercial, you still couldn't make one good one out of the two. Let's just say they are a couple Certs short of a roll. Dad is a boozer and now mom is a crack-ho. Quite a pair. So we are determined to stand in the gap for him and make sure that he remains safe and secure.

Polly1 (8463) | 2 years ago | Good for you and good for Jason, he is fortunate to have loving grandparents to take care of him. Your life will be so blessed many times. Enjoy him, treasure him and when he gets to be more then a handful come vent on mylot we will give you our sympathy and support. LOL
