This is why I am weary of being a donor  

My mother always told me not to do it because then they won't try to save you, i have no idea if she's right or if its an unfounded fear...That story is really a miracle for that guy...I'm not a donor currently on my license...I might change that sometime when i renew my license but I'm not real sure if I like the idea of my body parts being used in someone else...it is a very interesting topic i would probably have to research more before i made a decision!

I used to have it set up on my license to be a donor too. i changed that last time. I am so afraid that someone will receive my organs and I would going on living in that person. I do not want to do that. My life has been very rough and I do not want to take the chance of reliving all of the rough timers again.

I'm not an organ donor - I've just always felt 'weird' about it mainly because when I was in high school 3 friends of mine were killed in a car accident (all at the same time). One of the parents donated their son's body, at first it seemed 'nice' that others gained from his death such as one person got his eyes, skin was used to help a burn victim but... At the funeral home there was no 'closure' to his death - his body wasn't there with the other two best friends and saying goodbye although emotionally should have been done wasn't.

I am not set up as a donor. I want to take all my parts with me. I know it sounds terrible. I am a smoker and no one would want them anyways.
