DIY Haircut

I've got long hair too that just grows and grows. My friend hates me as she's been trying to get long hair for years and it won't grow past her shoulders. I trim it when it annoys me by brushing it forward and trim a couple of inches off it. It doesn't make it shorter but it layers it and makes it feel lighter.

I have cut it short three times when I've been in a bad mood though. I've never taken razors to it just grabbed it and cut it, then evened it up. It always looks fine and everybody thinks I've been to a hairdresser maybe I should train to become one.

I think that it is easier for a female to cut her own hair than it is for a guy to cut his own har. I have trimmed up the back, and around the ears before, but to do the whole thing by myself scares me. We have all seen those guys walking around that have that "I cut my own hair" look, and I dont want to be one of them LOL. So I try to trim up the back and around the ears until I can get to a salon.

I've only trimmed my bangs. I'm too afraid of trimming the back since I am not that coordinated! My father used to use one of those flowbee hair things that attach to a vacuum and it was awful! My little child could have done a better job! But he was so proud of himself we didn't have the heart to tell him it was hideous.

I know a lady who does and I have always admired her hair! I let my six year old daughter cut mine, which is almost the same thing maybe?

haha i do mine quite a lot... i did mine this time last year... (full head) btw it sounds silly cus at the time i was training to become a hairdresser too hehe... but i left the front of my hair long and took the back really short and spiked... then dyed it underneath bright red and on top black... it actually looked really nice and funky... couldnt have been that bad anyway cus i met my boyfriend a couple of weeks after i did it and he liked it too haha:) x
