Have you ever had a Surprise birthday party? Have you ever given one? |
| |
| I gave a surprise party for my sister a few years ago and was able to keep it a secret. (Which is pretty difficult for me) She thought we were having family for dinner but when she opened the door and saw lots of her friends she was so surprised! The look on her face was priceless! We also gave mom a surprise party for her 80th and she was so pleased to see her family and friends. Have you been successful in keeping your party a secret? | | Birthday | | | | |

| | I had one thrown for me last year for my 40th birthday. Went out with the family for dinner and when I got back home it was full of my friends all yelling "SURPRISE"...almost gave me a coronary, but ended up being a very memorable night | | | | | | |

| | The last one that I had, I was about fourteen years old. My foster sister ruined it and told me all about it ahead of time, so I was not surprised, but it was still a very nice party. | | | | | | |

| | I've never had one for me, but i've had one for my hubby's 30th bday. It wasn't anything big, just his parents, his two brothers with their girlfriends, my dad and his wife, my sister, my brother, his gf and their son, and my step brother and his fiancee. But it was fun,and boy was he surprised!! I had bought decorations with big 30's on them, had bought this delicious pancake cake, and had done some little entrees and cocktails. | | | | | | |

| | Yeah I halped my best friend's husband to give her a surprise birthday party. She kept asking me if I knew if her husband was doing anything for her on her birthday. i always lied and said no. I did a good job with that myself. | | | | | | |

| | On March 21 of this year, I threw a surprise party for my son on his 16th birthday. He was totally in the dark about it. When he walked in and we yelled SURPRISE and sang Happy Birthday, he just stood there with his mouth hanging open. Someone yelled "SPEECH!" and he said, "Uh, I don't know what to say..." It was really good. All his best friends were there. His girlfriend was there and she had told him she was going away that day for the weekend so he didn't think he was going to see her till school started again the Tuesday after Easter. When my first husband turned 40 I threw him a surprise party in our home. Since he was home most of the day I just pretended I was cooking him a fancy dinner. I put pans with water boiling on the stove and added spices to make it smell. I put a cake pan in the oven with vanilla and cinnamon and turned it on to make that smell. I think someone had him go out for an errand or something just before everyone arrived. I had a sandwich platter done up at the local deli and people brought sandwiches and stuff, like pot luck. He was completely surprised when he found us all waiting for him when he got home. | | | | | | |

| | No, I have never thrown a surprise party or had one thrown for me. But i have been to one, i thought it was alot of fun and everything went pretty much to plan. I have been to a really bad surprise party where the person who the party was thrown for already had other ummm more intimate plans. | | | | | | |

| | Yes two years ago we had a surprise party for my daughter's 30th birthday. We had it at our church. Her husband had got some tarps from a place they were giving some away used but good and had picked them up on the way to church the day before. He did it so he could use it as an excuse to come back to the church the next day. He then put them in behind some of the shrubbery when she went inside. The next day he told her he had to go to town and wanted her to come with him so he could take her out to dinner. He had left the children with us to watch. We went down ahead of time and decorated the church for her party and it was fun. It was a potluck everyone brought food. He told her he had left the tarps in the bushes by the church and forgot them and wanted to get them. So when he pulled in she saw the lights on and wondered what was going on. He told her to go in and see while he got the tarps. So she came through the door and he was right behind her. She was so surprised and happy. We had the best time fellowshipping and laughing and playing games. We got a lot of good photos and it was a birthday she will never forget. | | | | | | |

| | for my partners 50th, i made sure that he was at work...he's an entertainer and singer, i hired a roly poly viking kissagram and sent her to his work place and pounce on him, no one had clue that i'd planned this, not even his daughters and son....i was at work tha night oo but somewhere else, but i got a charming text message off him a bit later on...wont say what it said...lol...los of his friends were there and they all took pictures...i still have them to this day and now and then i have a look...i wsh i could have been there that night but i'm glad he took it light heartedly... for my 40th birthday my partner planned a surprise party for me, everyone was acting a little bit perculiar that day but i didn't twig on....we owned a pub then, so i said that i didn't want to drink there because we were there every day and night, so he took me out shopping for he day, he bought me lots of new clothes, he got me my hair cut, my nails done, my make-up done and he pampered me all day, then he took me to a to a posh hotel, we had a fantastic meal, bottles of champers, then i said that i'd like to go home to our other house and spend the night there, we had the pub well supervised, so we didn't have to worry about the place, so he said that he needed to pop in and pick some clean clothes up, then when we got there he said that he would be at least 20 minutes because he had to deal with something....so i'm huffing and puffing and umming and arring, then i got out of the cab and walked in, the whole place lit up and there was lots of friends and family there....i almost jumped out of my skin...it was a fantastic night, even though i didn't want to celebrate it there...it was a lovely surprise....still got the pics to prove it | | | | | | |
