my husband and i were in a debate the other weekend about why cartoons dont hold themselves any more. i mean i can remember getting up at 6 am just to watch my favorite block of cartoons. it started with the Tick and ended with X-men at 10:30. it was a time when cartoons were entertaining and adventurous. Now a days the kids are addicted to shows like pokemon and some other pretty odd shows.
i mean can anyone tell me what is up with the Telabubies? or why they have taken the old school cartoons off the air? Bugs and friends was a good cartoon as well as the animanics. Why did they take these shows off the air? and replace them with ones that are supposedly computer animated?
what were some of the shows that you wish were still on?

I can remember getting up early to watch Saturday morning cartoons. They were great and very entertaining. Most of the cartoons that are currently being aired, they do not have quality that can equal to the older ones. Avatar the Last Airbender is one of the exceptions and I do not know of others, if any.

I've watched Pokemon from the beginning and it was a good show at the time. They are now just repeating stuff they have already done, and have been doing it for a few years.

Well, I also remember getting up just to watch the cartoons. I think some of my favorites were "The Flintstones", "The Jetsons", "Yogi Bear", and several others. I liked "Mighty Mouse" and "Underdog" too.
cartoons these days just aren't as good as they were then.
