i have three tomato plants showing this morning!  

How cool, they grew quick didn't they? I remember that discussion, it will not be long before you actually have the tomatos then. I think home grown toms are lovely they have such a beautiful taste compared to the shop ones, one day I will grow some myself!!

How exciting!! It's always wonderful to see things start to sprout. I can't wait until it really starts to warm up around here (I live in CT). It was on 23 degrees when I woke up this morning. Brrrrr. Come on Spring, warm up!!

Wow... that's quick! Well done! Which reminds me, I planted 3 acorns in separate pots in the Autumn... I must go and check whether they're growing now the earth is warming up. Thank you for reminding me.

Whoo Hoo!!! I found 2 tomato plants yesterday too that the birds must have planted for me. They are the cutest tiniest cherry tomatos I've ever seen no bigger than a nickle!! Good for you , I love tomatos right our of the garden too. I just yesterday planted about 25 squash seeds & am hoping they all come up. Mom says I planted too many, heck I'm not even close to being done with everything I'm going to plant yet!! Too much indeed, if I do have too much produce I'll give it away to my neighbors that are housebound, they always love that when I do it.. Whoo Hoo Spring is here!!Lori

I started some seeds a week or so ago too and they are ALL coming up!

I don't know what I'm going to do with this many cucumber and tomato plants. I don't have the things I'd need to can any of it and don't have the room here in the kitchen anyway.

You know you always plant more than you really need, expecting that some won't come up. Well, every single one of mine has germinated. I'll be overrun soon!

Kool! I'm up here in wisconsin.. I don't think I have any tomato plants coming up yet (from last years plants. We had tons of tomatoes last year!) I did get out there and uncover my roses though..

I'm so proud of you RLfiNash. I have a brown thumb,I can't get anything to grow. When you get some tomatoes send some this way....LOL...I love eating tomatoes right off the vine.

I cannot wait until I can plant my tomatoes. I have to wait until after May 22nd (according to my father). He said for our area (Ohio) we are out of the danger for frost then.

Tomatoes are some of the best plants to have going in a garden,, I do love tomatoes and try to have them with every meal in the summer months, when you can get really good, fresh ones.. I also love them in the winter as Fried Green Tomatoes.. I planted about 6 tomato plants last summer and none of the tomatoes got ripe.. As soon as they were big enough and before they turned red, I picked them, I sliced them and froze each slice individually, put them in a freezer bag, and into the freezer they went.. I have eaten fried green tomatoes all winter and they are great.. I had to buy my red tomatoes at the grocery store or the local flea market.. All of mine that I had planted were earmarked for the long winter month.. I have really enjoyed them and plan to do it again this summer.. But this summer, I will plant 12 plants, one-half for freezing and one-half for eating when picked.. Have a wonderful day..
