I think Chris explained it well enough- I too thought that when you buy a website or business that you have to pay the debts-- but that is not true. My company I work for purchases other businesses often- We buy the assets, product, customers... but not the Debts (creditors) that is what the old owner is supposed to do.
So Chris doesn't owe us-- yet he will pay us... No we have no proof of it yet-- but I will be posting away so that I can post proof of his word.
Mike--- why didn't you just pm Chris? and figure it all out? instead of posting something like this on another forum?
I think Chris is honest.. he is actually helping out people learn new things about the internet and offering jobs doing work like Bryan did- I for one respect and know Chris more than I did Bryan- I was a moderator longer for Bryan -- I have had more contact with Chris in the short time he has owned the sites-- then all the time Bryan did. How is that for honesty?
Bryan is the scammer--- Check out DCroome's post here-- she was tight with Bryan from the get-go... He scammed her out of a lot of money!
In closing-- Really guys--- Morachat is turning into a better site-- Come check it out-! see for yourself- I've never been one to take anyone's word on anything-

But you know well, that if your company is buying up other companies, part of the deal in the purchase is the due diligence to make sure that there is no debt attached to the company before passing any cash.
And your company will make sure that payments are made to the existing contractors BEFORE closing the deal.
At mora, we are the contractors. We were owed money before Chris bought and we are stilled owed money by the company that he now owns. He bought the company, and the name and all of the rights to the existing contractor base. That was us.
So while he may not owe us the debts that Bryan generated, by taking on the company with all of us as contractors, and saying that he wanted to know who was genuine, he defacto assumed the debts which he is holding ransome. | |

| KrisNY (7347) | 2 years ago | Mike--- In my case now-- I have suppliers calling me daily to see if the company I work for will pay the outstanding bills of the previous owner- My answer is always No-- I'm sorry we didn't buy the creditors- liabilities- only the assets and the product. I'm sure that my company is doing things 100% legal-
As for Jenn selling the sites- She didn't get much for them.. I didn't see them posted for sale... I would think that it would have been in the agreement that the new owner agreed to pay us- Chris is stating it was not. He just bought the domain and decided to keep it the same.
If this is not true.. then why did the other site mymusiccash new owner tell me that he is not paying anything that was owed- and we lose our earnings? and mymoviecash- the new owner told us they would pay us-- but didn't legally have to- they only did to get us back to the site-- good faith? I don't think there was near as much owed on that site as morachat.
As for your posts disappearing- I'm going to check that out now- I posted to your post- about team work--- there was no mention of Bryan in the post. I'll see if it is still there.

MyLot Admim, I would seriously consider this member. If he can be this discourteous, and feel the need to purposely try and ruin the reputation of another forum and its members, I would be very careful that he doesn't do the same to MyLot. This member has already displayed what he is capable of.

It would be a shame if this Bryan and his family had really lied about his being ill, because I saw so many people here expressing sadness, he seemed to be such a nice guy.
As for the new owner, I would reserve judgment and check with admin first as to what's going on. Name calling always puts me off.

I am not sure what you have against Chris - ummm maybe because he is an English businessman trying to get some good out of what was left after Bryan literally did a runner!! if that is so wrong then you really are harder to please than you expressed on Morachat!
Being British myself I am rather impressed with his ways (sarcastic grin) - seriously Mike, you ranted about Mylot on Morachat and then came running back when Morachat went down, now your back here ranting about Morachat. I left when I was being jerked here. However, apparently there has been some real changes to the way things are, and I was invited back by one of my friends who did not enjoy the format at mora.
This has nothing to do with British heritage as much as it does with conduct of a businessman using British Common Law. See, in the new world, we have more laws to protect consumers. They aren't perfect by any means, and swidlers come in all packages. | |
