Just got home from the concert  |

|  Well as all of my good friends here know that I got a ticket to see George Strait in concert...
Man can that guy sing....his opening acts Sara Johns, and Little Big Town were incredible
Yes I have almost no voice,
Yes I had fun
Yes my seat was pretty good, they put the stage in the middle of the arena and they alternated the cornes
I had a blast the couple next to me were a little snitty but I iggnored them, I was just as rude to her as she was to me (I wasnt rude to her on purpose)
He sang almost all of his hits the 2 songs I didn't hear that I wanted to were Cross my heart, and blue clear sky, but he did hit after hit after hit for almost 2 hours and came back for almost a 10-15 minute encore...
It wasn't flashy it was pure Country, and Very simple, just like George Strait-- His ban was pheonominal, and the only thing that would have made it more perfect was if my husband was there, but hopefully there will be another chance to see him....
But I am so thankful my husband gave me the opportunity to see him.....
Truly an awesome experience.

| |  It certainly sounds like you had a great time..lol I like George Strait, I haven't to been to a concert for years. I just can't stand the crowds. I went every chance I got when I was younger. I'm glad you had a good time.

whoo hoo! wow! sounds like that you had a great time at the George Strait. so what was the last song that he sung at his concert last night? i would love to go see George Strait. i do not know if his tour is gonna come through Nashville or not. well i am glad that you had a great time last night and i know that last night will be a night that you will not forget. and i hear ya about the rude people sitting next to ya, same thing happened to my friend and myself when we went to see the trans-siberian orchestra. happens to the best of us, right? lol well i am glad that you got to go to the concert last night and if George Strait ever comes back your way i hope that you will be able to go see him again.

| | the very last song he sang was a cover of Johnny Cash's I hear the train coming roudn the bend, I can't remember the exact but as the band was playing, I high tailed it out to get a shirt, ok, a sweatshirt, I went for the hooded sweatshirt, I wanted a tour jacket but those were 125, so I went with the next best thing at 55.00 man are those concerts pricy but that is where they make their money....
I told my kids if they wanted a GS hat, I'd buy one for them off ebay or off line....

| | that is awesome that he would sing that song for his last song. when Opryland Theme Park was still in business here in Nashville, (before the mall opened) you would be walking through the theme park and hear all kinds of country music playing everywhere there. i remember that song from Opryland's Theme Park, and they also played the Walbash Cannonball. haha they did. well sounds like you had a terrific time last night. i am so glad that you got to go to the concert. | | | |
