Its sad to see that people get so easily fooled

So I take it the 350.00 was for shipping and handling? How do we stop things like this? Be aware..Even if the offerer is Christian, be aware and do some background check before committing..I learned this the hard way, by getting ripped off from a Pastor that sold us a car that broke down just 30 days after buying it..(go figure)

When we had to rid of our dogs they went free to a good home. It is horrible to see that they are harming honest people who probably could ill afford to lose the money. I don't know anyone who has been scammed like this, thank goodness. I think the only thing one can do is bring it to the attention of the local authorities, because people like this won't stop at one scam and I'm sure they won't stop at doing it in one state either! Horrible people.

This is sad. Many people get scammed like this for different things. Fortunately I never have the money to help out a person, so I dont have to worry about being scammed.

I dont know how to stop these scams. Many people send out emails explaining the new fraud, and hopefully people forward them on. The only other thing I would suggest is to call the police, and the news station. Once someone gets wind of the new scam, it will get on the news, and eventually they will be caught, or the scam will stop, because the scammers do not want to get caught.

I stopped reading when I saw where the money went to.. Nigeria is full of scammers. I get Nigerian scams in my emails all the time.. sorry, but I won't believe anything that originates from there. I'm sure there are really honest people there, but the scamming is so prevalent that it is known as a Nigerian scam.

I have not come across this kind of scam, I have only ever come across the email scams that everyone gets. This one is a lot different though isn't it, people are bound to respond to an advert like that, maybe this is a new breed of scam that we all need to be aware of and keep our eyes open for. I am not sure how this sort of thing can be stopped, if indeed it can be stopped.

I don't get why anyone would trust someone more because they say, or even if they are, Christian.

The fact is that if you are on the internet even a few minutes at a time you have to check out everything you might have an interest in. No venture should be taken at face value. Why target Christians? Because most of us want to believe people are good and honest. The fact is for every real offer there are 100 scams to match it. I have not seen this particular one yet. But I am glad it was reported. It is up to all of us to stop such garbage.

this is the first I heard of the scam. It seems a little obvious. the couple paid to have the dog brought over seas and have it quarantined, why wouldn't they want it now? why not find someone locally? you take your chances when purchasing any item that is not local and especially when it needs to be shipped.... accountability is a little different when so many miles (and different legal systems) separate you.

I am curious why it is felt that a Christian family would treat a dog differently than a famiy of another belief, unless of course that other belief involves animal sacrifice, namely dogs.

the whole thing is weird and sends up red flags. too bad the couple did not stop to wonder how the dog would get to them PRIOR to sending the money order.

who knows, the dog may show up at the air port in a couple weeks awaiting their pick up.

It is very sad to see that people are still falling for such scams. I may have misread your intent but what about those that aren't Christians but want to help? Other religions are just as caring and generous ya know?



The only way to stop such scams is for each person to really look into what they are getting into and doing. While their heart may be in the right place they need to make sure that the other persons is also and from all that is being reported there has not anything from Nigeria that has been proven not to be a scam.

I had an email to that effect about ten different times and I deleted it as a scam as it smelled phony to me. That is so sad to do that to people who just wanted to help out. Iwas scammed just once on a phony vacation I was supposed to have won or a tenthousand dollars pay out instead.they sent me a check that looked really real and I was supposed to use that to pay the costs involved in getting either the free vacation or the ten thousand dollare check.what a fool I was. we found out the check was phony and if I had cashed it it would have bounced big time plus I would have had other bad check charges besides the amount of the check. so I wrote that off as my being too naive and gullible and now I google anything that smacks of fraud before I do anything else and they all turn out to be scams.
