What is your favourite system? Why?  email this discussion to a friend?

I have a wii, a PS2, and an Xbox 360 Live - was wondering what is your favourite system and why??

I am waiting on my favourite systems to arrive in the mail - they are the original NES system and an Original Atari 2600 that I am getting off ebay - yes, I know the graphics aren't as good and the games aren't as technical, but there is just something about these old systems that I just love! Maybe it's reliving my childhood - who knows??

I use my PC to play any new and graphics intensive games. My favorite console right now would have to be the Wii. I like the innovative nature of the interactive controller as well as the backwards compatibility with GameCube games.

I like the fact that with the wii you get a little bit of exercize - love bowling!

Thanks for the post!

Lexa..you are as bad as my 3rd Son LOl..He has everything there is and more..and i should know i bought it all for him, well not the Wii.
My other kids were raised from the 80's and we had a video game in the house like you'd have at the movie shows..you know those arcade things..they had a super time playing games anytime they wanted and didn't have to put quarters in it either.Those were fun days for them.Turned around and sold it years later..wish i hadn't.

I know the feeling Rose - I had an Atari 2600 and a NES years ago - got rid of them, and now here I am, how many years later, buying them off of ebay!!

I have an NES, SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, Turbografx 16, Playstation, N64, Gamecube, Wii, Playstation 2, and am debating purchasing an Xbox360 (I see everything measured in percentage of bill payments now...guess it's part of growing up).

If I want to relive my childhood memories, I start up my NES and play some Duck Hunt or Super Mario Bros. 3. The SNES and Playstation are packed with massive RPG libraries if I'm in the mood to play some, like the various Final Fantasies, the Lunar series, Valkyrie Profile, Vagrant Story, Breath of Fire series, Tales of series, Legend of series, and Brave Fencer Musashi. The Genesis and Sega CD are now retired unless I feel the urge to play some Ex-Mutants, Golden Axe, Sonic, Night Trap, Hook, or 3 Ninjas. I still play GoldenEye and Perfect Dark on the N64 since they are pretty much the best FPSs out there even today. I play Fatal Frame and the Silent Hill series on the Playstation 2 with my mother (she enjoys those games a lot but won't touch Resident Evil since it has zombies). The Gamecube has been retired since the Wii is backwards compatible. I currently play Beyond Good and Evil (great game, by the way), Pikmin 2, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, and Super Mario Galaxy on the Wii.

So, in a nutshell:
Nostalgia= NES
RPG= SNES and PS/2
FPS= N64
Horror= PS2
Else= Wii

My favorite system is the X-box because it has a lot of great games on it that you can not find on Nintendo or Playstation,like the Halo series,or the Knights Of The Old Republic series,and I also like the X-box because it has infinite internal memory,so I do not need a memory card to save my favorite games,I also play my Nintendo 64 from time to time,and it is an awesome system too,which a bunch of good old fashioned games.
