How often do you walk your dog(s)? |
| |
| I try to take mine everyday, although that is not always possible. They are a lot happier on the days we walk than the ones we don't. They are hard to walk though, because we came from a rural area and we used to walk without leashes. I have trained them to walk on the leash, but a couple need a little more work. I hope by the end of summer we can take a walk without them straining my arm and back muscles. And to stop them wanting to eat every dog, chase every squirrel and cat that they see! | | | | | |

| | I don't take Killer for walks yet - he is too little - he will only walk a couple of streets and then I have to carry him - hopefully, once the weather is a little warmer we can get out more. Lexa | | | | | | |

| | I don't have a dog now purely because I can not dedicate the time for walking one so once my two old boys passed away I didn't get another one. But when I had them I used to walk them twice a day every day and they also had a very large garden too to run around in. At weekends I use to take them to a local lake and Duke used to love jumping in and having a good old splash around while Jason used to run round around the lake barking excitedly at him. They were that well trained that on each wallk one would go to toilet on a green next to first doggy bin and other the second further along bless. It was lovely that I had them in the days where I could allow them to run free without a leash in woods and the park. As soon as I am able to be at home more I will probably get another as I miss their company. Ellie :D | | | | | | |

| | I do not have my dog anymore, she passed away nearly 6 years ago now, but I used to take her out about 3 times a day, where I live there were some fantastic walks and we would walk for miles. The only problem I had with her was that if she saw another dog she would go after it, not to bite it but to play, but she was a big dog and she would always go for the tiny things and the owners would go mad. I would say how sorry I was and that she was only playing but they did not like it, I cannot blame them I would be terrified if I saw a huge dog heading towards me at full speed! | | | | | | |

| | I try to walk my dogs each day. It is a lot more motivating for me to get exercise when I have dogs to take with me. We recently got a new jack russell, so I have been walking much more. I live in the country so leashes aren't really important, but with this smaller dog I have been using one on her. I don't know her that well yet and I don't know if she will stay out of the road if a car does come along. My last dog was hit a year ago by a tractor, and I couldn't bare going through that again. She was always "street smart" and I was shocked when she was hit. Anyway I'm getting off of the subject, but yes, I try to walk my dogs every day. | | | | | | |

| | My dogs are a little over a year old now, and are terrified to go for walks. They have an underground electric fence though, so they get to run around an play outside without any leash restrictions. They are used to the fence, even without their collars on, we can't get them to leave the yard. Unless it's in the car. At least we won't have to worry about them running away. | | | | | | |

| | We don't really walk our chihuahua .. we just let him out in the yard to run around and play with our other dog that is out there. We have a big back yard and he can really run around a long ways ... it is all mowed so he can just have fun out there. I stand out there while he plays so he won't run off to a neighbor our go out front to the road. | | | | | | |

| | Well I don't walk my dog out in the streets, my brother does that. My dog is so fierce that if he sees people walk by him, he'd maul at them right away. This is why you should have a strong grip and an alert mind when walking him. My dog also has a habit of dragging you to wherever he wants to go and if you don't want to he'll sit there and stay until one of you gives. Only my brother qualifies for walking him outside. Look at my sig, he's mauling you right now hahahaha. | | | | | | |

| | As much as possible every night. They always want to go out of the house and always want to play in the grass. Also, when I let them go out, they do all their personal things. Hehe. They are very naughty. Sometimes, don't even want to follow me. Because they keep on running, they easily get tired and feel weak so I need to carry them to go back home. Keep posting, Mickey | | | | | | |
