For me, what makes it great is the fact that it tells a story. That's it, have to go and put it on right now. .... "wake up in the morning ...":)

| icequeen123 (621) | 2 years ago | Another recommended Epic which tells a story is Aerosmith's "Don't Want to Miss a Thing", used in the film Armageddon. Such a great ballad from such a class rock band. Every time I hear it I think of my husband, and am so thankful that I have him. | |

| icequeen123 (621) | 2 years ago | Definitely agree with you there. It was a great film to begin with, lots of laughs and one or two tears, but the song was the icing on the cake.
Difficult to pick the greatest epic song ever, but I'm sure that Guns N Roses would have to be in the top ten, probably "November Rain" would be my favourite of theirs. Must give credit to Meatloaf as well, with his "Bat Out of Hell". | |
