Horror fans, who is your favorite mythical monster?  |

 No real people, just mythical. My favorite is the vampire. There are so many different visions in the heads of authors who write about this particular monster. Some are really bad portrayals, but some are really, really creepy. There never seems to be an end to the stories that can be generated by the vampire and I'm always looking for a great story to be told either in print or on the screen. I think I like this monster so much because the stories are so good and not just filled with blood and guts.

1. techfreak194 (88)  | 4 months ago |  I also really enjoy the stories that have to do with Vampires. They seem to have a creepy and causalness at the same time. My favorite though is Lord Loss for Darren Shans series "demonata". It is a great series and Lord Loss is a demon. He is smart and even though he is nowhere near human, he sometimes shows very humanlike behavior. He feeds of fear as well as loss. I guess that is where he got The name lord loss. Great post!

I like the fact that they've done that. To see that there could be a vampire with feelings and emotions that include regret and sorrow and depth.

I also like vampires like in Blade and Underworld. They are very high-tech vampires and are more violent.But of course the greatest vampire of all time is Count Dracula.
