A question for the computer whizzes |
|
Those who are familiar with mylot know that I always end my discussions/ posts/ replies with the following message: HUGZ from Kitten1954
When I did a computing basics course a few year ago we learned a little bit about using shortcut keys. Ctrl+z== undo etc. We also did a bit on creating shortcuts using the ALT+? and I was wondering a couple of things.
1. Would a shortcut work on mylot?
2. If so, how do I create one?
3. I want my shortcut to type out my signatory phrase instead of my having to type it in every time. I don't mind typing it in every time as that's what makes my posts individual and personal but if I can create a shortcut this would be so useful.
Thanks and......

1. theprogamer (7518) | 2 years ago | I set up mine through Opera, saved up with the "Note" feature. When I want to insert it or another signature, all I have to do is right click in the text box and select insert note (then select the note I want from the list). No switched pages or pasting needed.

2. Polly1 (8478) | 2 years ago | I don't know any shortcut, I am still sort of new with the computer. But couldn't you just type it, then copy it and paste it then at the end of all your replies. You would have to copy it again each day, but that might save some time.

kitten1954 (1120) | 2 years ago | Yes, that's what I have tried on several occasions. I just thought there might be a whiz out there that could help out.

4. Polly1 (8478) | 1 year ago | I am not a whiz but I do have an idea. How about after the first time you type it, you copy it and then paste it after your post. It will be saved until you copy smething else or end your posting for the day. There are a few others that have a special signature too, maybe some of them will stop by ad give you a hint, if the have a short cut.
