Amazon is more retailers or smaller bookstores carrying hard to get items with a non-auction style price.
Both are great but somewhat different. The key is making sure your shipping costs doesn't defray your savings on the item you are buying as both sites have great pricing on many items.

3. desertdarlene (5842) | 2 years ago | In general, eBay is a site that mostly uses auctions and small sellers, much like a flea market. Amazon tends to be fixed price and uses big name sellers who have an established reputation, like a shopping mall. But, both have some cross over. eBay also has established sellers with fixed prices and Amazon also has access to auctions and smaller sellers, too. But their main focuses are the auctions for eBay and fixed prices for Amazon.

4. jesbellaine (3192) | 2 years ago | I believe the difference is that on E-bay, most or almost all of the devices, gadgets or things that they sell there are personal and second hand gadgets.
On the other way around, the Amazon has both. Brand new devices from a company who has return policy of 30 days etc...

| 6. slickpick (69) | 2 years ago | I see ebay as a huge auction place, while Amazon is more of online store. Ebay has some stuff you can not find on amazon such as some rare coins (ECT), but i like amazon for more costly items because I trust their source alot since its not from a member. Other items like a video game or something, ill usually use ebay.
