Did you or do you love English Language in school? Maybe you just tolerated it..  |

 I just completed an assignment about an aspect of english I did not know about. Quite frankly I did not even know there were theories in english like one called the Cohesion Theory.
I wasnt a big english fan in school but did not just merely tolerate the subject. I did well so it was not a major bother to me. I love to read and for the most part enjoyed literature classes. It can be a pretty complex subject though.
That assignment showed me just how much more there is to the subject. The guys in particular just seemed to have a bad relationship with the subject. Worst if they were good at math. Poeple who are good at math just seem to hate english overall.
Whether you're just learning english or you just tolerate it for the sake of getting through school or a your master at the subject, what is your overall reaction to it? Do you think it is a complex subject?

| 5. maddysmommy (10990) | 2 years ago |  I never enjoyed school at all and English was one of them. I prefered working with numbers than letters LOL I just did as much as I could to get by so I could finish school and get working. I still have trouble with my grammar too, but I do get by.

Now I am doing it in my A-levels. 7.  LouRhi (831) | 2 years ago |  The English language is complex and wonderful. I have always had a passion for it, though not always given it the attention that it deserves.
The way that it has progressed through the years is amazing. However I am slightly disappointed about some of the more recent transgressions (text messaging and abbreviations)
It is interesting also the way that it is either maths or English that a person prefers.
