The multi-purpose sleeve  

I would wipe nose on my sleeve & not care who sees me.People should be gratefull i am not wiping my bum in front of them
I would not ask anyone for a tissue,because here asking that to people is odd,they look at you like you have have asked for their life or something.

lol..if all are strangers, I'll just discreetly wipe my nose on my sleeve. Why discreety? Because even though these people are now strangers, who knows I might meet one of them somewhere...and they'll remember me as the lady who wiped her nose on her sleeve..ewww!

Hmmmm, this is a very good question. One that I had to think about for awhile. If I had only these two choices, I would have to say that I would disreetly wipe my nose on my sleeve or the inside of my shirt. I say this because when it comes to personal hygene stuff, I find it hard to ask just anyone if they have something that I need.

No I tell my children off for wiping their noses on their sleeves it would not be good for me to do it would it lol!!

If its a time I have allergies like hayfever then il have a tissue anyway god with two kids ive normally a tissue somewhere, if not id ask a stranger id rather that than them catch me wiping my nose on my sleeve not to mention you have to then walk around all day with snot all over your sleeve yuk!

I'm always caught in the middle of allergy season with not a kleenex in sight , so I always usw the inside of my t-shirt..WHY?? Cause it's the closest to my nose hehehe....Lori

I so use my sleeve or my hand. lol. i usually try to use an inside sleave.. like if i have more then one shirt on, or a long sleeve under my jacket. Upon having kids though, i usually have one of those pocket packs of klenex handy during winter season. . or at the least a babywipe.

Well firstly I would not ask stranger for a tissue.
Why, well I do not know what they may have been doing with it themselves.

If you use the back of your hand, once it dries you can always see if you peel it off in one piece.

If you use your sleeve and forget you used it, when you do your washing you will have slimy gobbies in your wash.
Same goes for the inside of your shirt.

I think I would go for the back of my hand.

I can deal with using my sleeve for a little while. I've done it before--and it sucks, but it works until something better comes along. I try to be as discreet as possible, but sometimes there's just nothing more you can do. I wear layers most of the time, so at least people wouldn't have to look at the snot spot on my shirt, I'd use the underneath layer.

Is there a water source nearby? Like a drinking fountain? IF there was I'd use it to sort of wash the snot away, hee..

I'm not sure I could abide boogers on my sleeve

Mind you, up here , half the year, we can get away with discreetly using a mitten! (or a toque, or a scarf)

Honestly though, I think I would rather lick it off than use a tissue I got from someone's pocket.

This is the main reasons why i always carry a handkerchief with me... and some tissue inside my bag... in case of emergency like the one in this discussion... i don't need to go around asking people for tissue... there will be good samaritans... but some will think suspiciously... and i don't trust the ones that we can get in the public toilet... so i always carry one or two in my bag...
