Have you ever had the experience of riding on a subway?

Subways are the easiest way to get around Boston but not the most fun! It seems no matter what day or time of day you get on the trains they are crowded with people and not always the "nicest" people either. Finally after all these years the MBTA is starting a campaign to let these people who get a kick out of groping women know that we aren't going to take it any more. I've had it happen to me only once in my life and that was enough for me. Being the outspoken woman that I am I punched the guy in the stomach right there...yes, he was very surprised and moved on but I made sure everyone on the train knew what he was up to.
What have your experiences on a subway been? Do you make it a point to bring people like this to the attention of others or just let them keep on going?

I've ridden in subways in New York City, but not very often. Once I was fortunate that there were very few people on - though my friend and I were a little uncomfortable that there was only a shady looking person in the same section as us. *shudder*
I feel so grody after being on a subway. I would not tolerate anyone willfully putting their hands on me.

There's no subway in my city - thank god I guess :D That must be really nasty to experince something like this.

I have never had that experience as we have no subways here butg we do have buses that get so crowded you can hardly breath. they take on so many people that some are standing on the steps inside the bus. I have been groped while standing in the aisle holding onto a strap and thats most humilating.
