Is your desk set up ergonomically?

MyLot members, are you working from home and feeling at twinge or two? I encourage you to look at your work space and make sure you are working at your keyboard, mouse and monitor with neutral postures. Here are some examples: Your wrist should be straight and shoulders relaxed to reach the keyboard and mouse. Your wrists should not touch the suface of the keyboard of table. Also when looking at the monitor, you should look ahead of slightly down. Your feet should be on the floor or supported by something (other than the chair legs). Take breaks, get up and move!!! You can search the net for more ideas. Look at #m Workspace comfort guide.

I can almost bet that my computer area is not ergonomic. My computer is on my kitchen table and I sit on a paded wooden dining room chair... I do though have a gel wrist pad to make the mouse hand position a bit better. I rest my feet on the chair legs and table leg often. I think that if an ergonomic expert saw my work space, he or she would cringe and then have a fit as it is not even close to being what it should be. I think it is time to take a break... perhaps to go to bed... hugs to you.

Sounds like you are using a good technique to take a break. When you have a chance, look at your writs when typing. Are the above the keyboard and straight? If not try lower the keyboard or raising your self in the seat (i.e. with a pillow) to get to a neutral posture.

Yes taking a break when you need it is a good thing and is highly recommended... I will try to work on the other things. Thanks for the recommendations and for your being here. I appreciate you.
