Are you saving money these days?   

Some of these are new. I have no home to swap with someone if I had a date (my apartment is barely big enough for me, you can't fit a date in there).

What do you do to save if you already cut down on snacks, bring your lunch, and keep the heat/air conditioning turned down?

At some point you can't cut anymore. I am getting darned frustrated with the rising gas prices and food prices. There is no room to cut to make up the difference.

Yes, as much as possible I try to save money because another sister of mine will go to college this coming school year.

As much as possible, I try to bring my lunches here in the office or since I am in graveyard shift, I eat dinner at home then here, I eat some biscuits or flakes since I am not hungry at night.

I usually take bus or jeepney instead of cabs or taxi to lessen my transportation cost.

not only now a days but also when ever i get money i tend to get the best out of it because the life needs money and so we nned to save the money for the future and so i always save money for the future and also spend some amount to enjoy the present and i think that is the best way to deal

We are doing so much better on our energy bill now. We were actually given a lot of those energy saver bulbs, too, in a program for low income consumers. Everything has been insulated and weather-stripped. We reuse a lot of things, too. We keep the heat down and wear layers instead. Here, it's summer that's the challenge. Air conditioning.

I have to see how many of these I allready use...

1.Make your own lunchs... well I don't work out of the house... but my kids will take top ramen and cook it in the micro wave at their school

2. snacking, well when the kids get home from school we usually try and have a big snack... which usually now turns into dinner... tonight it was free french fries! LOL

3. we usually don't throw much out... and what we do... goes to the outside animals

4. well I can't get much colder! LOL during the day... my heater is at 60... and when more people are home... it never is above 67

5. free gifts... yeap... gotta love those freebies... they make awesome gifts... one year for christmas I made stockings for everyone... with all freebies!

6.nope... this isn't something we would do! LOL

7. we have about 6 of the florescent bulbs... i replaced my kitchen light with a florescent bar..

We are trying and trying to save energy. We got two of thoes bulbs and out them in the garage which is a light that gets used a bunch in our home. We didnt see a lot of change but if you say they are working for you then we will go out and get some. I know you and I think a lot the same about saving energy and cash so I trust your opinions. I will see if Costco has some next time I go there. Thanks.

I always took my own lunch to work and it saved money and Ihad fun as we always had se veral eating at the same time so we talked as we ate.snacking is also a good one as I had to stop myself on the just a couple wont hurt at work as we always had a bowl of mandms and other sorts of forbidden sweets.Also I have quit buying more things like lettuce than I can use up in a couple of days because then I end up tossing most of it out. I love the idea of giving a coupon of free labor thats so neat. and I do cut down on energy by keeping the thermostat lower we also have put the energy saver bulbs those weird looking ones in our lamps and our bill has really gone down so they are worth a little morel

Yes I save in any way I can, including freezing in the spring to save on my heating bill. I just don't have the money to pay it.

yeah its a good thing. u never know when an emergency will come up. its good to be prepared.
