you found an expensive engagement ring would you demand more of a reward?

I would have returned it no reward necessary.

The ring was meant to be a symbol of love not a symbol of money and for the finder to demand more of a reward that could be considered extortion.

Oh some people are just so greedy, I would have taken the 500 offered I would not have asked for anymore. I cannot say that I would not take the reward because I would be a fool not too! If there was no reward I would just hand it in anyway, no joy can come from keeping something like that it would be bad luck.

I would return the ring even if there was no reward offered and I for sure would not ask for a reward or to hold the ring hostage for a larger reward. I would more than likely tell the man to keep the reward and to use it to have the ring cleaned up and repaired since it fell and got messed up.

Yes, the man should take more care of an engagement ring, but it is theft anyway. If she doesn't give it back, he should report her to the police.
And that is also very greedy! I would definitely return it without ANY reward.....and I'd be very disappointed if nobody else would do the same for me!

Oh I would hate to be that woman. What goes around comes around. That is totally wrong...and greedy. To me that is very close to being theft. I would not expect a reward to do the right thing ever.

That is so greedy! No if I had found it I would have handed it back regardless of any reward. I know how much my engagement ring means to me its something very very special that ring was about to make some womans day and life it amazes me how greedy some people can be.

I definitely would not. This is such an important piece of jewelry to the people that need it that they shouldn't really have to wage a dollar war to get it back. Hopefully the person that finds the ring will be understanding that it is a very special piece of jewelry whose value cannot be measured in jewelry.

I would have teturned it even without a reward. That ring could have been very sentimental to someone. I don't think he should have given the lady $1000 reward for it when she said she wanted $1000 I would have said I will give you $500 or call the police since you stole my property.
