McCain Vows War On Poverty!!! |
| |
| Say's " nation is in a recession. He retraced Lyndon Johnson's steeps in Eastern Kentucky and pledged to mount a 'war on poverty' different from that waged by the former Democratic President." See news article here:http://news.yahoo.com/s/b... What do you think asbout McCain doing this? If elected do you think he can pull us out of this slump? Or is it going to be Hillary OR Obama? I think McCain has a good chance at it...Your thoughts on this? Lori | | | | | |

| | I honestly don't believe at this point none of the above is going to do any good to get us out of the slump it is going to take alot and yes we are going to into hard times in the future for that is the way things are but I honestly don't think McCain is the one to do it,we are up against two of both evils both hillary and obama have good idea's but it is going to take much more I am afraid.I am not going to vote but I bet I could bet on who is going to win,In reality i think hilary would be good for this country maybe our kids and healthcare at least will come out ahead and maybe the housing market..It is going to be tough but like always I guess who is going to win and will keep that to myself for now. | | | | | | |

| | I do hope he really means it. I kind of think he has a good chance at it also.I like the way he thinks and just might be the very person to pullus out of a recession. I am not so sold on Hilary Clinton though it might be great to have a woman president. But although she makes a good statement is she able to carry it through as a President. Some of the things she has said sound a little naive but again I am not toosold on any of the candidates except for McCain. I know I do not want Obama at all. | | | | | | |

| | I like McCain I always have especially when I lived in Arizona & he was our congressman. He did good things for the mentally handicapped people there. I'm not so sold on Hilary either.. but which is the best of 2 evils?? I'm not sure yet...Lori | | | |

| | I am not all that good with the election posts. I find that it's best to be far away from them. I am voting for someone this election. That someone will be who ever my mother is voting for. Right now I am not a Hillary fan.. I was rooting for her at one point. But,lori have you ever had a gut feeling something was not right? Well this is how I feel right now with Hilary. Happy posting! | | | | | | |

| | All that we need to do to get out of this recession, is to get out of the war in Iraq quickly! it is taking all our money! If we do not do it soon enough, then nothing will return this country to normal except years of changes being made! | | | | | | |

| | I'm voting for McCain anyway. I've said before, and I'll say again: Not only do Hilary and Barack not care about our own country's welfare, but I think they both have strong affiliations with the devil and the Antichrist. I was going to vote for Mitt Romney, but since he's cast his lot with McCain, I decided to look into McCain's policies. I agree with many of them, and it really impressed me that he's one of very few that have even mentioned our own countries problems aside from healthcare. Our healthcare issues are fine for now, but our gas prices (and therefore grocery prices and prices of everything else) are outrageous. There are some cities that are starving because of gas prices. There are no jobs in the city. The people have to drive to the next city to work. By the time they buy their gas to go back to work, there is no money left for groceries. Literally NO money left for groceries. So they buy gas, go to work, get paid, buy more gas to go back to work to buy gas to go back to work, and so on. So many of them just quit their jobs because they couldn't afford to keep working. No major candidate has mentioned a damn thing about the REAL crises in this country, except McCain. Because of that, I think he's going to get a lot more votes than people realize. Barack may get all the votes from every single black person in America just because he's black, but McCain will get the votes from the people that are truly hurting. | | | | | | |

| | Also: I don't think Hilary should be president JUST because she's a woman. I don't think Barack should be president JUST because he's black. I think that the president should be cast because of his/her stance on our country and our country alone. And neither one of them cares one whit about America just for America's sake. | | | |

| | I'm voting McCain - haven't heard either of the other two say ANYTHING about specifics of what they will be doing on anything if elected. All they are doing is beating each other up and neither have said a word, specifically, about what they intend to do. | | | | | | |

| | He he has experience "running government" and law related things and the stats of AZ and military experience. So much experience behind him that he can use...but what do the other two have? Forget the Dem/Rep - What has HIllary done that gives her the ability to run this country? White Water? A cheating husband? I mean, I never heard of a thing she did as 1st Lady and Obama - from what I have read was educated mostly out of the USA and a few years as Senator - never heard of him before now. So I don't see what either of them have the life experience and educaiton/knowledge to run a country. | | | |

| | I really hope not Obama or Hillary and I am also not sure about McClain.. If elected I hope he can get things straightened out but I am not sure he can or will.. I believe that we get a lot of lip service and they tell us what they think we want to hear, then they do nothing for us.. It would be nice to be able to keep a few pennies for groceries and not have to spend everything on gas.. | | | | | | |

| | All these politicians tell us things we want to hear and don't seem to do anything constructive to solve the problems we are having. I think it would be a nice change to have a Democrat win the election but watching Hillary and Obama playing cat and mouse there is a very good chance McCain will win this election. He is sitting back and laughing at them both. | | | | | | |
