the itch I can't get the itch

Years ago I broke my elbow and I feel your pain! It itched like crazy and I was so tempted to use something to itch those annoying itches. And it stinks that you can't even itch around the area to try and releave some of the itchings. lol So trust me, you aren't alone with knowing how that feels.

It has been over 30 years since I had a cast Mooch but I can still remember the intolerable itch now and I feel really sorry for you! My first memory is of being 3 years old and having a heavy duty polythene bag tied round my cast on my leg as I was on the beach! lol Weird thing memory isn't it? xxx

i get infection from flea bites every year. I am allegeric to these flea bites, they itch and drive me crazy I just want to scratch my whole skin off, but if I scratch my skin burns like someone is setting me on fire. I feel like killing myself at times it is so bad.

Ewwwwwww. I bet that does suck to have an itch and cannot get to it. I have never had to wear a cast but I sure know how it feels to have an itch and cannot reach it or get to it. I usually use a ruler to get to mine and if I cannot get through something, like a shoe for instance, then I take the ruler and tap the shoe where it itches and that helps too sometimes.

I had a scalp biopsy several years ago, and they told me I couldn't wash my hair for two days. I started to get the worst itch where they had removed the skin and then stitched it up. They told me to absolutely NOT scratch it. So my brilliant idea was to slap my head lightly in that spot. It worked after awhile, but maybe it would have stopped anyway. Of course, I'm not recommending you slap your cast.

I've heard that before, about casts! And I hate itches! Not being able to relieve it would be, well, he!!

I feel so bad for your itching in your cast! There is nothing worse than that. My daughter had a broken wrist and she used a hanger to get in and scratch. I was always afraid she would hurt herself more. Only thing the scratching doesn't help the itch. It is just all the sweat and dead skin accumulating.. you are also itching because you are healing.

It is even worse than the itch I get in the middle of my back in the middle of the night, and I cannot get hubby to wake up and scratch it.

Man boy do I feel your pain here Mooch, its the bottom of your foot that is itching? you might ask your doctor give a call to the office and see if you can maybe squirt some gold bond powder in there. That might help some, its what I used in my wrist cast, but I did not have incisions.

Awe! That sounds quite awful. Why did you get the cast? Did you have surgury? I really hate when that happens.

I find it annoying when the roof of my mouth itches. The skin is too senstive and thin to itch.... It would be pailful.
