why can't i record a movie with sound?sony cybershot dsc-s730

I have a sony cybershot but it's a DSC-T70 so I don't know how different they are but I didn't have to set anything up for there to be sound, maybe it is defective. I'm not trying to be smart but do you have the volume turned up, sometimes it's something simple like that and it just doesn't come to mind. Maybe check their website you could prob find some kinda support there. Hope you figure it out because I gotta tell you I love my sony cybershot!! Good luck!

Can you not hear sound when you play it back on your computer? Or just on the camera? I know with my camera you can turn off the sound for video playback. So check your settings on your camera and make sure it is set to playback sound. Also, try playing the video on the computer to see if there is sound.

If it still won't play sound on the computer, check the settings on your camera. Make sure you have your camera set to record sound in video mode. If all of your camera settings are set right and there is still no sound, there might be something wrong with your mic.
