I wanted to rent & watch the Star Wars movies & I wanted to add them to my NetFlix list, but I wanted the ones where they added new scenes that were not originally in the movie when it came out in the theaters. Now they have two versions on the website to rent so I need to know which is the one that I am looking for. They list the Star Wars movie: Empire Strikes Back then they have a listing for this one: Star Wars: Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back: Original Theatrical Version. So is it the latter one that has the new added scenes in it?

Try reading this...

http://www.starwars.com/e...

...it should help.

It is my understanding that the one labeled 'episode V' would be a newer release, yes, because there was no need to call it V back in the 70's or whenever it was...back then it was technically number three...lol. It looks like (according to above article) that it has a disc with the movie as it originally played and a disc with extra stuff.

But, take a look at the article and see what you think. I am far from a Star Wars expert...especially when it comes to the newer episodes. Though, I am expert enough to know that I definitely wish I still hand my original X-34 landspeeder with the Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Chewbacca figurines to go with it. blink Oh, and we can't forget the donut-haired but ever lovely Princess...I had her, too...HAHA. That is probably more me being knowledgeable in what toys sell nowadays (or at least a couple of years ago when I noticed maybe it would be a good thing to have them still in my closet) rather than a true bank of Star Wars knowledge. wink

Have you seen the movies before? You may want to consider in what order you watch them if you haven't.

Oh yes I've seen them many times over, but they confused me with this newer version of the older Star Wars that they came out with a few years ago where they added scenes that were not in the original Star Wars movies.

Oh tell me about it. I had a C3P0 who's hands were put on backwards. As a kid I just thought it was cool that it was a defect, I didnt think anything about it at all. Well over the years his hands broke off. About hmm 10 or so years ago I saw a collector book at a store. I looked and there was C3P0 with his hands on backwards, and at that time was worth about 60k. I could have cried lol.
