sportsmanship in Food Network Challenges

Hi mooch! That is such a good thing to do! I do like hearing about people helping other people and it so nice to learn that there are still a lot of them. I do admire those contestants going the extra mile to help a competitor. It is a commendable behavior that everyone could really emulate. Thanks for sharing this. Just my thoughts dear! I like Food Network, but I don't always like the food challenges because the commentary by Alton Brown can be annoying (even though I like his show). And, I'm not a big fan of cakes, so I might not have watched it - but now, I think I'm going to keep my eyes open for this episode to rerun because that's the kind of thing I just LOVE!! I'm impressed as everything over that and I want to see it. I love watching when they do things to help people who don't have (like some of the extreme makeover shows do - some of the things done are amazing). It's heartwarming and great to know that there are still people out there whose caring goes beyond themselves!!

Sportsmanship is always there but lots of time we do not see due to the bad ones in sport so the TV are on them rather than the Good ones.

That's a lovely story Mooch. Yes, it is good to see good sportsmanship - doesn't happen very often, especially on TV. There seems to be hope for us yet. Let's just hope that other people catch on to this good behaviour!

i think that that Foodnetwork episode of the engagement cakes like that was a rerun. or i was watching some food competition like that awhile back and i remember some lady passing out with a "nose bleed", i think that that was what it was that she was rushed to the emergency room. but then right at the last of the competition she came back? if that is the one that you are talking about then it is a rerun. i have seen so many of the Foodnetwork shows. i think that i have seen all of Paula Deen's episodes and all of Alton Brown's as well, his is Good Eats. it comes on here at 10 p.m. at night and sometimes through the week it is hard for me to keep awake to see all of his show. i wished that it came on t.v. earlier. and oh my gosh!, i cannot ever imagine making a cake that is that beautiful or that big! that is awesome what they do with the cakes on t.v. on the Foodnetwork channel.
