Will you switch off your Mobile.?

I turn mine off in hospitals when required other than that I just turn the ringer off so as not to distract at cetain places like church and movies.

Me too dont close my mobile when i am in meeting or somewhere else like restaurant or a show.. I put on the vibration mode. I never know what could happen if close my mobile. I only put off when im come back at home. I use my mobile phone when im outdoor of my home. All my friends got my number. When im home they have my home number too so dont have to keep my mobile on.

Yes, I do turn off my cellphone for the following reasons: When I'm inside a bank (it's the rules), inside a cinema, when I'm attending mass, and yes even to avoid someone's call.

The only time I ever switch off my cell phone totally is in the movie theatre. I know many people will just switch their cell phone to silent mode in there, but I cannot TELL you how annoying it is to sit next to the jerk who has his phone on silent, and then spends most of the movie sending text messages to his friends.

For the most part mine is kept close at hand, like on my desk so that I can get to it in a timely manner if it rings, and I hardly EVER have it on silent.

I usually forget to turn it off, and of course it always rings at the most inappropriate time! I try to turn it off in the movies, at church, dentist, doc, library, etc. but other than that its pretty much on all the time.

It is not very often that I turn my mobile off, I do not get many calls but half the time I just cannot be bothered to switch it off, or I forget. The only time that I do switch it off is when I go to my doctors as they ask you to because it interferes with their computers, or at the hospital because it interferes with their equipment too. Mind you saying that it seems that everyone ignores that nowadays and everyone uses them in hospital.

Yes I switch off my mobile when I go to sleep. Even the vibrating seems to disturb my dad somehow...all the way from my room...weird huh?! But I got to admit, in the still of the night when everything is silent that vibrating does stand out a bit. It has awakened me as well.
As for avoiding someone's call...I did that once. When my now ex-boyfriend just decided he needed to call me up and compare me to other girls he knows. I was at work and apparently those other girls who he works with "cares more" about him that I did (well that is true NOW!) I switched off my phone and let him argue to my voice mail and one of my friends told me to tell him to come over and "he'd give him something to scream about." Well I didn't do that. But yeah, he basically did argue at the voicemail...
In public transport I have my phone on volume: 1. I don't drive yet but when I practice I have it on vibrate as well and just ignore it when it does. At the movies I have it on volume: 1 and for a meeting, vibrate.
Basically, I switch off my phone every night before I sleep.

No I never turn my mobile off either - I work from home so rarely need it on but use it for my alarm clock too so it is more than just my mobile!
The only time I turn it off is if I go on holiday as I don't take it with me when I go away - I wouldn't use a mobile to call home asi t's too expensive and neither would anyone call me whilst away so I don't see the need when it may only get lost or stolen and I didn't even need to have it with me!

The only time my cell phone is shut off is if my battery dies. My battery life is terrible. I don't like missing calls. My brother is in Iraq. My family all live really far away from me.
I will turn my ringer off but not my phone.
