Watch out if you are buying motorcycle parts off the web  

I almost fell for an internet scam. I'm in need of getting a rear tire for my 1981 Honda CM400, I thought I would look around on the web. I found this place www.cycleparts2007.com, so I give them the bike info and I ask them to give me a call. They call up say they have the tire for $43.00 plus $15.00 shipping. I think that is a pretty good deal, then the guy on the phone tells me, we only except checks no credit cards or paypal.

I find this odd but whatever. Well today right before I head off to the post office to get a Money order to mail out, I look on the better business bureau web site and looked up the company.

Good thing I did! The company is affliated with other like companies for example A-1 cycle Parts, Prospect Cycle, Hood River Cycles. They all have a similar address: Jefferson st. The Dalles, OR and are run by the same guy who calls himself Terry, Joe or Jeff. They take the money and don't deliver or they deliver junk instead of the part. All the companies have unsatisfactory ratings and one company actually made the top 10 bad list for the better business bureau.

I have a personal policy, don't buy electronics over the internet now I'm gonna add don't buy motorcycle parts over the internet as well.
