I got my answer on a camera  |

|  I messaged a friend of mine today about the Nikon D300 and all the reviews I am reading blows this camera ahead of a lot of the competition, to include Canon, die hard canon users are loving this camera as well, for many many reasons,
However I got my answer on package and that is to go with the best you can afford for the money you have and that will be a D300 with the consumer VR lenses, the Pro VR lenses are 5-10x more expensive than the consumer VR lenses, so that is what I intend to purchase, there are 2 sellers on ebay that have my eye, and I will question one seller about seeing if he can match the package of the other seller with VR lenses, if not, I go with the other seller.
So my mind is made up and my husband is on board, and right now about 2,200 is going right to a camera, I think that will support the economy even if I use Ebay for the purchase of Camera.

| |  That's great to have a camera like that; would you be able to say... get your money back from that camera by freelancing? I know it is hard to sell pictures anymore, because one of my friends here is a professional photographer and no magazines are interested in paying for photos when they can get them nearly free on those photo sites. I will just be glad to have a $99 digital camera from Walmart. Hope to get one with my Stimulus money.

| | I would hope to get my money back, if not I have a really really expensive hobby, I got feedback from one of my friends on my shot of the bird looking in the car mirror, and he even said it was a cool shot, and gave me tips on how to lighten it up.

| |  That sounds like a pretty cool camera, they are amazing some of these cameras that are about, I have only got a 5.0mega pixel camera and although it is not a bad little camera I could really do with a better one. Nice to hear you are doing your bit for the economy!!

| | Neither have I, and I will be looking into a separate insurance policy for it as well as I will not be able to replace it if it gets stolen...
But there are a couple sellers on Ebay that have incredible packages complete kits, batteries, chargers, everything I need to take awesome pictures (more awesome than I have been up to now)

| |  Oh good luck Mooch. There is nothing like anticipating a new toy. The joy and excitement... it's like Christmas all over again.
I just have a digital point and shoot, I must admit as I am not good with focusing, aperatures etc. it all gets a bit too much for me. Especially when I'm rushing to get that moment before it passes me by!
You deserve this treat and I think hubby knows that too! Let us know when you get it and you will have to post some photos too!
