Did I over react?  | |  O.k. - I have grounded my son for two weeks, he is not allowed the use of his PS2 and Rockband for 2 weeks, no phone for 2 weeks and for the rest of the school year he is expected to walk to school and come home BY HIMSELF!! What did he do, you ask?
He took his pokemon cards to school after being told not too - but!! the worst part is that 2 of his friends wanted some of the cards and they decided they would STREAK on school property if he gave them to them. They did, he did - how would you have reaacted??

They could have all been expelled from school! The boys that steaked could have been in trouble with the law too and your son would have been considered some kind of accomplice since he was giving them somthing for doing it.
Stick with your punishment! Maybe he will learn from it for the next time he decides to pull something like that.

Rose, thankfully my son was NOT one of the streakers - and to make me feel even better, there was a story on the news today about some guy in the states who wanted a girl to go to the prom with him - so he got his football team mates to stand in line and wrote "will you go to the prom with me?" on their butt cheeks!!
So, my thinking is, a couple of 10/11 year old's streaking to get some pokemon cards is mild compared to that!!
By the way, the girl said yes and the guys got 20 hours community service as punishment.
