Obama had enough... |
| |
| About time. Barak Obama has finally had enough of Jeremial Wright and cut him adrift. Wright having made those rediculous comments to the press club, has made himself to be more than Obama can handle. And while Obama's tone was still measured, you can see that he has had enough. And his answers to questions from the press yesterday were quite blunt and not reserved like other times. One of the guys appearing on CNN yesterday when asked about Hillary's silence on this, he said that there was an old political adage that said something along the lines of, 'If your enemy is committing suicide, the last thing you want to do is murder him.' So Hillary's best tactic there was to shut up and let this nasty business play itself out without her help to finish him off. | | | | | |

| | I saw that yesterday....I am not a big fan of Obama but mostly because he hadn't done anything about it. I am glad to see he finally grew a backbone. I hope that he doesn't think that he will be able to save himself at this point because this should have been done when it first hit. He should have said...I made a mistake! Why is this so hard? I would think that this would be the first rule of thumb as a politician. Thanks for the discussion! I am glad someone addressed this. | | | | | | |

| | And I thought that Obama had taken the high road by giving his friend the benefit of a stern talking to over the issue. However, this last round was way over the top as they say. And Wright's Monday tirade wasn't seen by Obama until the evening. So even the news people understood the delay until yesterday. | | | |

| | He should denounce the guy 20 years ago.I am afraid now, people will think about him as Wright said:" Politicians does what politician do". Let see how much damage control can he manage. I doubt. For some it's too late. Obama does have a problem with judgement. | | | | | | |

| | look in your friends list and see if the notifier is turned on still. Apparently there are periodic hiccups which turn off some notifiers. I don't think for one second that Wright screeched like that all the time. But lately, he has really let fly. This was really his time to shut the hell up and he let a man who had stuck with him down. Again it's his time to shut the hell up! We'll see how much this all plays out tomorrow. | | | |

| | I've checked my friends list several times and you are most definitely turned on! I just don't get it. I don't get any notifications for when you start discussions.... but if I go to your profile and respond to one I see there and you comment back (like now!) then I get a notify. It's just weird. I was just thinking after knowing this guy for 20 yrs maybe Obama knew all this press was bad for his image and he's "feigning" frustration at his Pastor. I guess time will tell. | | | |

| | Hi Mike, found this post ... and am curious to know how you feel about it after almost 100 posts. Feel Hillary was wise? yet! Actually I was searching for some of your posts ... they seem to have gone off the Air. | | | | | | |

| | I try not to think of Hillary...ever. I don't trust her. I have no particular reason for such mistrust, but I don't trust her anyway. Call it a gut feeling. I haven't gone off the air, I just haven't been posting as much on the political. I have been responding to some discussion, but there really isn't anything to talk about. Hillary is just drunk with lust for power that she will never have. I suspect that the votes "FOR" her are not actually votes for her at all. But they are rather votes against Obama. It sounds to me like the general concensus in the US is becoming one of increasing hopelessness. None of the candidates, Republican or Democrat are sparking any enthusiasm anywhere. Hillary is dead, but won't fall down. And it's not going to end before the 3rd of June...IF THEN. | | | |

| | Obama is an unknown factor. Very little is known about him. He attended J Wright's church for 20 years. Michelle O speaks a lot like J Wright. I think Obama subscribes to Wright's viewpoint and finds that he must now distance himself because of the flap Wright has caused. I say people should distrust Obama. He is after all a politician first and whatever second. | | | | | | |

| | I know I'VE had enough, much MORE than enough! Here's my whole take on the candidates and their pastors, churches, religious beliefs and anything pertaining to religion - they all want to get the votes of church goers and devout Christians, whether their Catholic or Protestant, and Jewish people. Because of this "necessity" in any election some of the candidates will overplay their religious background, some will overplay it; personally, I wish they'd just IGNORE it, as far as the political arena goes. Their religious affiliations, beliefs and habits are their own private and personal business unless they're participating in some kind of animal or human sacrifice. McCain messed up and sought the endorsement of some religious leaders who turned out to be rather outrageous; Obama's minister, who he started talking about no doubt to dispel the rumors that he's a Muslim and he turned out to be a nut-case. OK, fine - let's forget about all of them and just move on to the issues that face us all! PERIOD! ENOUGH! Annie | | | | | | |

| | I know I would sure like to know how Obama can change anything from the big chair. Whatever he does put forward, still has to pass the congress and senate. And they are sure not going to give him power to screw up their little THING they have going. But that said, I'm still liking him given the other choices. | | | |
