What do you say about DA VINCI CODE??Reality or Fiction??/

I think the book itself is fiction, but some components are real, like the Illuminati and the Priory. Both of those, as well are the lore connected to them are real(at least in my opinion), but the rest of the book, like with Sophie is fiction.

Total fiction - Dan Brown only states that it was a factual piece of work to get more publicity and to make more sales. it wasn't even an original piece of fiction as half the ideas had already been published as other works of fiction

Definitly fiction but a gripping yarn for all that.

I'm going to have to agree with your other responders. It's definitely fiction. Some parts and obviously setting are not fiction, the priory of sion is not fictitious, neither is the illuminarti (although I think that features in angels and demons more) The discussion about the artworks isn't fiction as such, but has probably read more into them than the original artist intended!

Hy, Intresting topic, I think Its a fiction, This book was sold in more than 100 million exemplares I would write anything to sell my book, so fiction books are more intresting than real stories, There may be real things in the book too, but the biggest part is fiction after my oppinion. Whether it's fact or fiction, I think it's an interesting book. Of course it's fiction since the main character itself is fictitious. It just became controversial because the catholic church reacted too much on it. Dan Brown is really good in arousing interests from the public as what he had done with this book. Isn't it funny how a lot of similar other novels begun popping out after this novel, even the movie National treasure had somewhat similar agenda, I consider them copycats so I never got to enjoy other historical/treasure hunting book.
