|  Well as some of you may know, i recently got engaged to my partner after 12 years....yeah, 12 years...LOL....and we were talking about what type of wedding we would like and where it would be held, i have a huge massive garden here and it's big enough to cater for at least 150/200 people, if you look at my photo's you'll see it...i have lived in this house for over 18 years now and i think it would be a wonderful place to get married, my apartment leads right into the garden....i have always wanted to have a wedding here with all the trimmings, we have alot of trees, so i would love to adorn them with clear white sparkling fairy lights, also have a white summerhouse where we can have the ceremony, also deck the ground with a beautiful light wood for the guests, also have all the seating in white benches and lots of white roses in pots all over the garden, we have a huge cherry tree which looks spectacular in the spring because of it's amazing blossom, so i think i have convinced my fiance to have our wedding in our garden next spring or maybe the year after, i have even suggested that we get some white gazibo's for the food and drinks, so this would be a dream come true for me, my fiance thinks it's a fantastic idea...he said he would wear a simple white shirt and trousers and i would wear a simple white cotton dress with daisies in my hair, it's the typical English spring wedding that i want and my garden would be the place for this to happen....so to those who are going to get married, where would be your ideal venue and idea for your dream wedding....i would love to read about your story and hopefully be inspired for more ideas for our wedding...thanks in advance....

| |  You have an ideal setting for your wedding, I would also have white gardenia's if possible the smell of those & the roses would be awesome together. It sounds like you've got everything planned down to the enth degree. Sounds so beautiful to me . I wish you many year's of happiness...God Bless Lori

| | gardenias sound lovely...i love aromatic plants and flowers, i even have lavender growing out there which is a delight when i open my doors...i think my garden would be a spectacular place to get married...even good enough to go barefoot, simple but beautiful....we still need to talk more about it, my man is 14 years older than me and is set in his ways but he is an old fart a heart...LOL, so marriage to him is old school...but we will get married one day....if i had it my way i would be getting the whole thing done like YESTERDAY...lol... | | | |

| |  I don't want a huge wedding. I think spending 20,000 dollars to get married is absolutley bizzar. So when I finally do get married I want to do it at the JP and then have a reception at home with my family and friends. I want to barbeque and have a pretty cake and chips and dip and of course that means I want it to be in the summer time on a nice sunny day. But that is pretty much it for me. Something simple but still celebrated.

| | i agree with you...there's no point in spending bags of money on a simple ceremony, i would never go OTT like most wedding go, a simple grden wedding is all i want and it won't cost that much....it's the day that makes it special, not the ammount being spent....your type of weeing sounds just like i would like mine, finger food and a buffet with a nice cake.... | | | |
