Bush's Rating Hits a New Low  |

 Well, our president is getting closer to the bottom of the ratings barrel, set to join Presidents Truman and Nixon at the bottom of the heap.

There are many things he could have done but failed to do, the least of which is to work on his grammar. And, there are many things he did that he should not have done.
How would you review the man if it were up to you alone to evaluate the last eight years?

Congress has been even lower than Bush for years now. SO basically our whole government sucks. What is really telling is that none of them seem to care.
And the American public does not seem to mind that they do not care. What is up with that?

I can respect your defense of the man. I wish you'd followed through and rated him based on what YOU thought he should or should not have done, however.
If the man had done everything RIGHT during the past eight years there would still be complaints.
If he had done everthing WRONG during the past eight years, there would still be praise.

 hornswaggled (867) | 3 months ago |  I will answer to a polite person=) and I would rate him in the 85% for work with the American public. He failed to act fast in Catrina and he failed to foresee the problems of misinformation on Iraq although he wasn't alone in that. He isn't an eloquent speaker but that is not a sign of ignorance as some would have us believe. My husband is one of the smartest men I know and asks me to help him word things and he can't spell worth anything. As for whether he should have even gone into Iraq; I will say what I always say....ask the Iraqi people. Don't talk to a democrat or a republican. Ask the people over there whether they would want Saddam back or not. I think history will prove this ws the right thing for them; whether it was for us or not remains to be seen.

3.  anniepa (5183) | 3 months ago |  I got an e-mail asking for a phrase for a banner, like the "Mission Accomplished" one Bush stood under five years ago, to sum up the Bush Presidency and I've been wracking my brain trying to come up with one. I can't decide whether he's crazy like a fox or just plain crazy! I can't imagine someone who has a clue using that "Mission Accomplished" banner or saying "Heckuva job, Brownie" but who knows? I guess I'd have to say he definitely bit off more than he could chew, possibly because he was in an alcohol induced fog while his dad was President so he had no idea how hard it is. Then he surrounded himself by all his cronies instead of appointing people who would be honest with him and tell him he was wrong now and then. Anyone who DID dare to disagree was soon gone! I think he's counting the days until he's gone just like most of the rest of us are.
