| Best sight ever  | | | |  What's the best sight (scenery, landscapes, skyscapes, city-scapes etc.) you've ever seen?
Mine was back in the early 1970s when I went to Spain for a holiday. On the side of the plane I was sitting and as we moved from the land to over the Mediterranean, all I could see was water underneath the rising heat-haze.
The pilot announced that very shortly we would be landing at Barcelona Airport, and to fasten our safety belts etc.
Suddenly the plane swung right round, and I was treated to the most breathtaking view I have ever seen. The whole of the beautiful city of Barcelona with its wide palm-tree lined avenues and edged to the north-side by almost orange-coloured mountains, was spread out in front of my vision, the white buildings sparkling in the hot, bright sunshine.
A truly majestic vision which has stayed with me all my life.

I'd imagine you have some breathtaking countryside in that part of the world - I can just imagine the heat haze rising from the foothills of the hills and mountains.
